Lovely cottage. Fabulous hosts who looked after us marvellously. Very attentive and friendly. Breakfast each morning was amazing as was the evening meal that they cooked for us. Helpful recommending places to visit and eat as well as arranging transport or taking us themselves. Would definitely atay again. Thank you.

My partner and I are from India and we recently travelled to srilanka and we stayed at Hidden lake cottages in Sigiriya which is maintained by Mrs Chandi and her husband, Mr. Mahesh.She is one of the most welcoming people I've ever met. Our trip in general was great but their hospitality was what made it all the more memorable. We were travelling from Trincomalee and we got the opportunity of spotting some elephants in Hurulu eco park right after we reached Sigiriya. We hadn't even reached the resort yet she cared enough to call and check on us and even volunteered to reveal the actual prices of the safari so that we don't get scammed. But the highlight of the stay was none of this. I can't thank her enough for the food she prepared for us. It was a true Srilankan experience if you ask me. I'm a vegetarian and I've never been more in love with the food while travelling out of India - don't worry, the non veg was exceptional as well. The variety of curries, hoppers, sambhal you name it and she made it all for us. I definitely am going back for this very reason. It was like visiting a relative's house who truly cares about you. Travelling within the city became super seamless as she helped us with everything. And another highlight of the stay was the cute kittens that were in the cottage. I had an amazing time here and would strongly recommend this place to whoever is visiting Sigiriya.

Beautiful setting, with our own private pool. Lots of birds. Owners gave us a late breakfast after we had returned from climbing Lions rock.

The accommodation was absolutely nice with totally kind and lovely hosts. We enjoyed our stay a lot and did not miss anything. The little own pool was always nice for a refresh. The breakfast was great as well. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

What makes this place is the owner. She was lovely. Very accommodating. We arrived late and hungry. And there is nowhere to eat locally without getting a car. She made us food and accommodated a vegan..... food was delicious. Breakfast again was delicious and accommodating. The hotel is really cheap and even the mini bar items! The room was clean and comfortable. Having use of an outside area was nice too, set in a natural environment. Nice to eat outside except for the mosquitos! But the owner did bring us a mosquito incense repellant, again very thoughtful.

This was a lovely find. You have your own private mini pool, lounges and patio area. The facilities were very good. The owners/staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough to ensure you had a great stay. The breakfast was excellent. We also had a dinner there - superb quality and portions. Great location Habera National park and Siguria rock. Overall, an excellent experience.More than happy to stay again. Thank you.

“Private cottage”

The staff were very friendly and chatty as soon as we arrived, they made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They provided us a huge homemade breakfast each morning, you definitely won't be left hungry afterwards. The room is nice and private with its own small pool. During my stay I had an accident and the hosts were very proactive in getting me to a medical centre and hospital, they waited for hours and then drove me back to the accommodation, they also allowed a late checkout the following day so I wouldn't be rushed.

“Tranquil setting, warm hospitality”

The hosts were incredibly generous and hospitable, checking in on us often and helping to plan our transport and sightseeing, including Minniyera Safari. The breakfast and refreshments were exceptional. Bed was really comfortable. The setting was tranquil amongst nature and a bit removed from the city. We really appreciated having the pool to dip in during the heat of the day. We wish we had planned to stay here longer!

An absolute FIND in Sigiriya. It felt like homestay hospitality with the space of a detached bungalow, shady relaxation and sunbathing area, and private plunge pool. There are just two bungalows in the grounds of a delightful, hospitable family home. The owner built them himself! There are huge and delicious breakfasts, and the chance to have tasty home cooked evening meals on your private terrace - we definitely recommend that (we did it twice in three nights!). Birdlife and monkeys around to entertain as you chill between Sigiriya activities.

A blissful four days, being looked after by the most wonderful people. The chalet is tucked away down a little rd,, surrounded by beautiful gardens & farmland. It’s lovely & spacious with the comfiest bed I’ve had all over Asia, not hard! There’s a sofa inside and out, along with a plunge pool, table & sun loungers. It’s all so comfy & relaxing. Everything is so clean and tidy. Breakfast is served to your table, abundance of food, fresh juice & coffee. They can supply a scooty, driver, jeep safari driver, tuk tuk and laundry service. If you require lunch or dinner they will cook for you. Wildlife is everywhere, the birds are incredible beautiful sounds all day long. Obviously as expected there are mosquitoes, bring spray, a net is over the bed it helped. Aircon works well, fridge is always stocked, pool towels are supplied along with shower towels, always hot water. It’s a rustic, jungle stay offering comfort, calm & unbelievable service. I will definitely be going back!
