“Great place to stay in sigiriya”

Delicious breakfast and they doing special BBQ nights on evening. Homestay provide as well bicycle rides also. Located in city center but very quite garden with hammock area for chilling. Much recommend for national park safari in evening .

So close to sigirya rock & restaurants, easy to find & helpful people

This is a nice homestay - the lady who runs the house keeps it clean & makes delicious breakfast (not included for us). She was also very kind to help us get set up in her kitchen (it’s a very big traditional Sri Lankan kitchen). A/C is $6 per day - we didn’t need to use it as it was breezy enough when we stayed with fans. Please note we have given this a top rating based on this being a budget home stay option. Many reviews seem to judge as if it were a hotel - if you’re looking for this please change your budget options for Sigiriya. If you’re looking for a homestay with a nice family, comfortable with plenty of space this is a great option.

“Jungle room next to the Lion Rock”

Great location (very close to the Lion Rock, restaurants, and bus stop), a private entrance and terrace with a hammock, lovely hosts, sounds of the jungle at night, I could choose the breakfast time to have breakfast at 6 am before the Lion rock hike

I had an amazing stay. Dinu and his family are wonderful hosts. They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They helped me arrange a safari, which was fantastic. The accommodation offers great value for money. there’s a separate entrance, everything is clean, the bed is comfortable. there’s a good mosquito net, and a reliable fan. The bathroom is also clean. I believe there is a hot shower, though I didn’t use them. It’s within walking distance to the Lion’s rock. they can also help arrange transportation. Plus there’s a lovely terrace with a hammock for relaxing. There was also a delicious local breakfast, and I received a great dinner recommendation as well.

“Simply the best”

Great highlight to the woman owner of the homestay. She was simply amazing. She helped us organize safari with a GREAT guide and a GREAT price, providing us also with water bottles for the day (as a mom). She also cooked breakfast for us and took good care of everything. The location was near good restaurants and just in front of a good place to have beer after dinner, also with good music. Thank you all!

Lovely lady running the homestay.she was very welcoming and offered lots of great advice on what to do locally. Comfortable bed, much softer than the usual Sri Lankan bed. Her husband took me to Habarana in his tuktuk for a very reasonable price. Oh and free cycle use for guests

Clean room close to everything, private entrance, nice terrace, friendly staff.

Amazing breakfast and well service for everything. We had book just one night.but i have continue one more night.they help us to free transport for arround sigiriya by tuk tuk. 💛

“Enjoyable”

Great location but most of all amazing hosts, Shysha and her son Dinu. Shysha made us a delicious breakfast every morning & it was lovely to spend time chatting together, finding out about family life in Sigiriya. Dinu, extremely helpful and gave us a lift into Dam alla as he was going. It saved us waiting for the bus. We stayed there four nights.

“Lovely and true local experience”

We loved getting to know the couple owning the place - they were incredibly helpful and made the trip unforgettable. Probably the best experience in Sri Lanka so far. The house is incredibly central, you can walk to Lion’s Rock and many restaurants.

The hosts were amazing, really helpful and friendly. Took us down the road to get beer. Great breakfast. Really felt welcomed and comfortable in their home. Lots of birds in the lovely garden. Would stay again.

Lovely homestay in prime location! Fabulous breakfast that you can get takeaway if needed. Host family are incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to help us organise everything. Can rent bicycles and motorbikes from homestay for a great price. Highly recommend. We were very sad to leave!!
