A super lovely family, truly so kind. I arrived late in the evening and they offered me dinner, but unfortunately I had already eaten. Then the father of the family brought me cake 🥹 which was delicious. The room was beautiful & clean:) They also have a lovely pool. And a very big and nice delicious breakfast 🤭And the son of the family helped me with the bus when I checked out :) Great price too.

Karu got in contact with me before I’d even left home to ask if he could help with transportation from the airport. This was just the start of him anticipating our every need, and looking after us like family. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and his expert local knowledge meant he was able to show us things we’d have otherwise missed. The room we stayed in was spacious and immaculate, and the meals were delicious feasts we could never finish, as much as we wanted to. If you’re after a spot away from the hustle and bustle of town, Karu will look after your every need. Highly recommend!

We were very satisfied. The rooms were spacious and clean. The swimming pool was a pleasant temperature, and we had it all to ourselves. The food was delicious, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were there during the fuel crisis and had our own rented tuk-tuk. The owner immediately offered his assistance for the entire trip. If we had any problems, we could contact him at any time. During our stay, he chauffeured us to local attractions free of charge and explained everything. I would gladly recommend this accommodation.

This is a great option if you are visiting Sigiriya to climb Sigiriya rock and pidurangala. The host Karu and his family are some of the most welcoming and enthusiastic people we have met in Sri Lanka. Karu offers help and advice with any of the activities done nearby and was always on standby to pick up in his tuk tuk as the apps don’t work as well here. The breakfast is beautiful, the safari with Karu’s friend was amazing and great value for money. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool but it looked very peaceful and clean. The accommodating nature of the family makes you feel very welcomed and settled.

Amazing accommodation. The rooms were spotless, aircon great, and lovely areas to chill next to the pool and have breakfast. The food really was a highlight, with the staff also offering a cooking class - which the results tasted amazing. It’s also in a great location and parking is secure

Our stay at this homestay was one of the highlights of our trip to Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family and made to feel completely at home. The kindness, care, and genuine warmth shown by everyone was truly special. The family went above and beyond to help us with everything, including organising a fantastic safari, which was perfectly planned and ended up being one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. Having everything arranged so smoothly made it completely stress-free. The homestay itself was spotless, peaceful, and very comfortable, and the home-cooked food each morning was delicious. We arrived as guests and left feeling like family. We couldn’t recommend this place more and would absolutely stay again.

We had a lovely stay at Galaxy View for 2 nights. Karu and his family are so kind and went above and beyond for us. The room and pool were both very clean and the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was nice.

Great family Good food

We had a great time in Sigiriya thanks to the owner of our stay. We came with a bus and he picked us up with his tuktuk and took us to the accomodation. He also took us to the Lions rock and other sights and show us some nice spots only local knows. We tried some local food at breakfast and dinner which was really good. The place is surrounded with tropical plants and with a nice pool. Very beautiful. Highly recommend.

We slept in the tree house which was very cosy. There were 3 beds so we didn’t need them all but was a big room for 2. Wifi, shower, beds were good. The family was very helpfull and we used their tukuk service everyday (because it was raining) so Karu took us around the region for all our activities. Breakfast was good and location is close to different restaurants (with tuktuk). We did the hurulu eco park safari (arranged by the family) and really liked it!

“Best stay in Sri Lanka”

We had an amazing stay with Kuru and his family. They were by far the best hosts we have had so far in Sri Lanka. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were comfortable, and equipped with everything you might need. The air con was very strong, and the shower was hot and powerful. It was also quiet at night. The pool was very clean and welcomed in the heat! The breakfasts served were delicious, and they offered laundry services, scooter rental, and Kuru was always available to take us where we needed to go in his tuk tuk. He even waited with us for a local bus, to make sure we got on the correct one when leaving. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Pleasant setting in garden with great pool to cool off in afternoon. Amazing breakfasts with different local foods each morning. Was great to be able to have dinner there too for great price. Family provided excellent services and nothing was ever too much trouble.
