“Great stay in nature in a big and comfortable room”
Very comfortable room with air conditioning, mosquito net, and a nice big bed. Located in the jungle where you can see monkeys and relax on the terrace. We had a traditional dinner (rice & curry) which was very good. Breakfast is included. The place is close to the main road and 15 min drive to the Lion’s Rock. Other restaurants close by as well. I really liked our stay there, surrounded by nature with very nice hosts.

When we arrived at our accommodation, there was no electricity, and I was shown two rooms. Both rooms smelled musty; it was unbearable. They said that if the air conditioning had been working, the smell wouldn't have been there. They tried to fix the electricity, but it didn't work. Then they refunded me and took me to another place to stay, for which I appreciate.

“Recommended stay in greenery close to Sigyria”
We loved that it is in very calm location with table outside- sitting in the jungle and green. Its a bit further for Sigirya town but we didnt mind. You can also order dinner from the owner if you like.

“Homely stay in Sigiriya with the wonderful Danara”
We had such a wonderful stay here! The breakfast was absolutely delicious every morning, and the bed was really comfortable — perfect after long days exploring. Danara is truly exceptional; she went above and beyond to help us organise everything we needed, including a Hurulu Eco Park safari, a fantastic cooking class, and even a lift to Pidurangala Rock for sunrise. She also kindly helped us with our washing, which was such a lifesaver as backpackers. The room itself is simple and basic, but it’s a great base with lots of cafés, restaurants and activities close by. It does come with AC and a mosquito net. Both Danara and her husband, Sabeetha, were incredibly warm, kind and helpful throughout our stay. We felt genuinely looked after and would absolutely recommend staying here!

“PERFECT!”
The host was amazing! Took care of us the whole time, homemade breakfast was incredible. The rooms were very clean and had a nice terrace with a beautiful garden view where we enjoyed incredible tea made by host.

Super friendly home owner. Danara made us great breakfast and diner. Took us to the rock at 5 in the morning. Next door is a great pool to chill at. Great stay!

“Could not recommend enough”
Senudi and her family (including Pinky the dog) made this homestay a 10/10. The homemade food we had was delicious and some of the best we’ve eaten in Sri Lanka. The homestay is walking distance to both Lions rock (20 mins) and Pidurangala (40 mins) so is perfect for anyone wanting to see these whilst in Sigiriya. Also walking distance to local shops ans restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable and the a/c worked perfectly. Senudi also helped arrange a transfer from Habarana at a good price, and offered to book other tours for us.

“Really kind owners”
Room was clean. The lady who owned it was so kind to us and was an amazing cook. Her husband drove us to Kandy and stopped at many places along the way for no extra cost. We booked a private safari through them which was an absolute bargain. They also have a very cute dog. I would definitely recommend this homestay to anyone staying in Sri Lanka.
