The location was good, close to the centre I knew this was a basic property and it was reasonably priced I stayed in a double room with own bathroom

“Amazing Social Hostel in Sigiriya”

What an amazing hostel! I had a private room which was very spacious and comfortable with comfy bed and huge bathroom. Shower was proper warm which is pretty rare in Sri Lanka. When you arrive you can join the hostel whatsapp group which is great to meet people and they organise 2 or 3 tours every day like sunset, sunrise hikes, party etc. Common areas are very clean with shoes off policy. Location is great and convenient close to the main street of Sigiriya.

“Amazing stay at Another World Hostel”

I really loved my stay at Another World Hostel. The staff is incredibly friendly and they organize different activities every day, which are shared in a WhatsApp group. You can join the group voluntarily and only if you want, simply by using a QR code. The place is clean and the beds are comfortable. The hostel is surrounded by nature and close to the jungle, so it’s normal to see a few insects from time to time — but it’s very quiet and peaceful, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. I can only highly recommend it! I especially loved the shower in my private room: amazing water pressure, the best I had in Sri Lanka! 🙂 The food is also very good and reasonably priced. Their fried chicken burger is really tasty! The common areas are very nice and comfortable as well. Enjoy your stay here!

“Best hostel ever”

Definitely the best hostel I ever stayed in. Room was very clean and spacious. Unfortunately I visited a few days after the typhoon so there were not a lot of guests, but staff made their utmost to make us have a good time. Everyday they write in the whatsapp group a schedule of the activities planned for the day (with details and prices), and you can opt whether to join or not. Activities are also customizable according to the requests of the guests. In my case I joined most of the activities and I definitely do not regret it. I especially loved the cooking class at the treehouse where we cooked Sri Lankan curries from scratch. The only times I did not join was to visit Polonnarua, Dambulla and climb Sigiriya Lion's rock. In these cases, the staff also helped with arranging transport at a very good price. Hostel also has a large common area which really helps for socializing. We played card games and carrom and had karaoke in the evening. In brief...keep up the good job. This is how a hostel should be. I extended my stay for a night and would have extended even more if I had time.

Super friendly staff, great service and tasty food. They organize fun activities – we did the elephant safari and the guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and spotted lots of wildlife. Truly welcoming atmosphere, highly recommend when in Sigiriya!

The rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable. The hosts were absolutely delightful, very helpful and everything was so near the hostel. So many activities to choose from. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

“Nice vibes”

If you’re traveling solo, this is a great place to stay. The hostel organizes activities all the time, which really helps if you want to meet people. The staff are always attentive and ready to help with anything you need, including transfers and excursions. The place is always clean. I did the safari with Thilina and he was an excellent guide who made the experience truly amazing.

Located near the centre (5' walking) with many nice restaurants. Comfortable beds, airco, possible to have breakfast/lunch/dinner. Several nice spots to sit and read. They have a WhatsApp group in which they communicate all the activities they organise (many, nice for a solo-traveler). Staff is very nice, they even take your backpack from reception to your room!
