“Exceptional stay with the family at Amaya Lake Dambulla—peaceful surroundings, spacious rooms, great”
We had an exceptional two-night stay at Amaya Lake Dambulla. Despite arriving late, we were warmly welcomed and treated with great care. We stayed in the Signature Family Suite, which was very spacious—our kids absolutely loved it. The buggy service was always prompt and convenient whenever we needed to travel to the main lobby. The swimming pools were clean and well maintained, and we enjoyed using them during our stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options, especially the Sri Lankan dishes. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, from reception to the buggy drivers. A special thanks to Supun, the Front Office Manager, for providing outstanding hospitality. Overall, we had a wonderful and peaceful stay, and we highly recommend this hotel for families. I would suggest staying at least two to three nights to fully enjoy the experience.

“Peaceful haven”
We had a fantastic stay, including an upgrade. The hotel is a peaceful haven and our villa was extremely comfortable and clean. We didn't have time to use the spa but it looked lovely. The swimming pool overlooking nature and the lake was a particular favourite feature of ours. Staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. It was a delight staying here and we'll absolutely return

“Excellent venue, beautiful, comfortable, with good food.”
The room was very spacious. It was a short walk away from the main facilities, but there were golf buggies available if necessary for things like luggage, and a short cut through the villas. The food selection was very good and there were two excellent swimming pools. The staff were so helpful and it is simply a lovely venue. Very convenient for Dambulla and Sigiriya.

“A wonderful peaceful retreat with excellent service”
This is such a peaceful place . Beautifully designed and despite being quite old it is very well maintained. As others have described, it is a beautifully estate with lots of district walk and relax. It was our ‘posh ‘ stay on our two week touring trip and it did not disappoint. We would happily return for longer . We chose to stay around here in the day and it’s so beautifully quiet as most guests are on tours . The prices are good and you don’t feel like you are being ripped off like other places . All the staff are delightful. Birdlife is also great. First class 😃
