“Excellent choice of stay while in sigchos.”
A fabulous place near to the start of the Quilotoa loop trail. Excellent and welcoming hosts with a great supper and breakfast included as well as use of the jacuzzi, pool and steam room. We had a great stay and felt really welcome. Highly recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Everything was as described, super comfortable beds and super clean facilities. The food they provided was fantastic and of course the added bonus of the pool room which also has a spa, sauna and ice bath was what made our stay!

The family were super friendly and helpful, we stayed one night before taking the quilotoa loop and then came back for another night afterwards. They showed us how the suger cane mill worked and gave us the suger can drink and alcohol. They also helped take us to the bus station and invited us to eat lunch they had made before we left. It is in a beautiful location with many trails around.

“Great location but not amazing”
Great location for The Quilotoa Loop and the team there welcomed us from a late bus arrival. They were very friendly too.

“Cozy place with great hosts”
John was a great host. Whether it was laundry, grocery shopping or the hike the next day, he helped me with everything. The atmosphere is very familiar and warm. I had a great stay and a really fun evening, which may also have been due to the homemade liquor that John had unpacked later in the evening.

The staff and owner were very friendly and extremely helpful. Dinner and breakfast is included which makes the deal even better. If you are doing the Quilotoa loop this is the perfect place to stay in Sigchos. You can also request a lunch to go for the next day for a very reasonable price.

“Great place to stay, amazing value!”
This is a wonderful place to stay! The family that owns it has done a really nice job and they are so sweet and welcoming. They are in the process of building an amazing looking pool and hot tub, which will make this place even better! This is a great value for the price you pay. It was very cozy and the food was good. They were very willing to accommodate our dietary needs (we were a group of vegetarians/vegans).

“Wonderful stay with personal touches!”
We had the best stay at El Trapiche! It’s a wonderful family run establishment with lots of personal touches from the welcome smoothie to including us in local events in the village. Delicious dinner available for $3pp and breakfast was also substantial! You can tell there is real passion for Ecuador and the local town! Perfect stay before starting the Quilotoa loop.
