Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The food is varied and available almost all day long, which is a big plus. The hotel itself is comfortable and enjoyable, and the rooms are clean and well-maintained. Access to the private beach is quick and convenient, and the housekeeping staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Families will also appreciate the playgrounds for kids and the pools designed for everyone, including a really nice one dedicated to children.

The food was very good and there was food most of the day so you didn't have to wait for breakfast. The pool with slides was perfect for the kids.

“Review: Villa Side Residence – A Nightmare in Disguise”

⭐ 1/5 (Would rate zero if I could.) My stay at Villa Side Residence was not just a disappointment — it was a traumatic experience that left me feeling unsafe, gaslit, and surveilled. Beneath the facade of five stars lies a deeply dysfunctional and hostile environment where guest dignity and safety are undermined, especially for women traveling alone. I was mistreated, belittled, and denied basic rights. At one point, I called the police from the hotel lobby after a series of deeply alarming events — unexplained bruises, memory loss despite minimal alcohol, missing belongings, and behavior from staff that crossed serious ethical lines. My ability to access help was repeatedly obstructed: I was told they would not call the police “because I was drunk”, and that I could not call — an outright lie and an illegal restriction of personal freedom. The reception staff was aggressive, evasive, and disturbingly performative. One staff member mocked me with hand gestures behind my back. Others raised their voices, changed my wristband to a children’s band without reason, refused to give me anything in writing, and would not let me access CCTV of my own door, citing "privacy" — despite saying they had footage of me. A manager even told me they had a hidden camera facing the door, saying the night manager did not enter my room despite admitting to the fact he was following me. When I attempted to escalate the situation, I was treated as a problem, not a guest. I was denied alcohol, not due to policy but as a punitive and targeted response, while other guests drank freely. They denied me a pen and paper when I asked for an explanation. I was followed, watched, and isolated — made to feel like a threat simply for speaking up. Let’s be clear: this is not about the decor or amenities (though those are not five-star either — overcrowded buffet, poor lighting, maze-like architecture). It’s about hostility, negligence, and an apparent culture of control.

They charged extra for a 6 year old child who sleeps in a cradle and eats almost nothing for 100 euros per day. Greedy and sullen reception staff

The resort is clean, comfortable, and offers a relaxing atmosphere. One of the highlights of our stay was the spa – huge thanks to Zarina’s team, especially Putu and Ayu, for their excellent service. Terima kasih! They made our holiday feel truly special. The food was very good, and the desserts were a real highlight – a big variety and very delicious! We also want to say a big thank you to the Russian-speaking staff, who were always helpful and made communication much easier for our family. There were a few downsides worth mentioning. The actual distance from the airport is about 70 km, not the 30 minutes suggested, so the transfer took longer than expected. At the amphitheater, most translations and announcements were done in German, with less attention to English, which made it a bit harder for non-German-speaking guests to follow. We also noticed that the staff’s behavior changed after tipping, which was a little disappointing. Still, we had a great time overall, and we especially appreciated the relaxing atmosphere, excellent spa treatments, and tasty meals. ⸻

“Fabulous hotel”

The hotel was fabulous, very high standard. Food excellent and a massive choice. The room was beautiful, big with everything you need. The pools fab and also the beach bar & restaurant area. The service in this hotel was impeccable and staff friendly whilst professional. I could write a book on how wonderful this hotel is at a very reasonable cost. I would highly recommend with no hesitation 🙂

The hotel is good and has lots of amenities. The rooms and all areas are clean and well maintained. Side ancient city is a short bus ride away. Eva is great and my child had a great time. Cannot thank her enough.

Lovely place, spacious rooms, great food in the main restaurant. I also liked the massage. My daughter totally enjoyed her time in the pool with slides. Sand beach, calm sea, nice bars, everything is clean.

The food was amazing, wide range of choice all the time. The room was beautiful, well equipped, the hotel has a lot of facilities and organises many programs, you can never be bored there. The staff were kind and helpful. Honestly we were planning to go on more trips outside the hotel, but we had so much fun in the hotel area, that we skipped them.

Majority of the staff were helpful and friendly. My kids enjoyed the programs they had for them. The food was great and the drinks too. It was very clean and fun for us parents too. Also enjoyed the shisha on the terrace at night time.
