Good location and very polite, pleasant staff. The room was clean and cozy. The breakfast was excellent — truly delicious. The beds were comfortable, and the room had useful shelves and conveniently placed power sockets. The rooms are small, but the space is well organized. The internet connection was good and stable.

Very friendly staff at the reception and breakfast area! Thank you for the warm welcome eventhough we arrived at 4 am in the morning. Breakfast was very tasty and the fresh made omelette and coffee a nice treat.

Tiny room, as the bed is huge, but okay value, even though it's slightly noisy due to AC systems running outside. Shower need repair, location is very central.

Express City Hotel is well located. As well as the hotel's own bar and restaurant, there are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. My room was compact, but perfectly adequate for my stay Staff are super friendly and helpful, Dana in particular. Shymkent is a fantastic location for getting to know more about Kazakhstan Breakfast was good I would happily return.

After a long and tiring train journey from Almaty, Kazakhstan, I arrived in Shymkent in the early hours of the morning. When I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted very warmly and immediately checked in early without any hitches. My room was ready and everything had been thought of for my rest. I was really happy to receive such a kind and hospitable service. The hotel staff was very friendly, caring and helpful in every way. I had no problems during my stay; the rooms were cozy, clean and peaceful. This hotel is definitely an ideal choice for those looking for a hassle-free and comfortable stay. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a relaxing and pleasant experience.
