Location was ultimate! The city centre and the temple literally 2 mins walk away and it was like a magical ghibli hot spring village

Five of us stayed here for three nights while we explored Izu Peninsula. It is in an extremely good location, with the Shuzenji shrine being right next to it and many restaurants, coffeeshops and onsens are within a couple of minutes of walking. The most south part of the peninsula is also just a 1.5 hour drive and Darumayama is only 20 minutes away. The bed and the common area was comfortable. The latter was more than suitable to have a meal together or to just talk without bothering anyone. Outside the sleeping area, there was a shelf for oversized luggage, which came quite handy. The staff were helpful and could leave our luggage at the facility on the final day until we finished exploring.

“Knowing so many hostels in Japan, I would not chose this one again.”
The location is fine. Clean enough. Laundry available. Showers work well.

The beds were comfy and in a great dormitory layout. There is a lot of communal space and a big fridge. The showers have great water pressure! I wish we'd tried the cafe downstairs.
