“A fabulous comfortable stay in an authentic apartment, right in the heart of one of the villages!”

We had a fabulous stay at this authentic old apartment in the middle of the village of A’Sherageh. We loved meandering through the narrow lanes and discovering all the different traditional doors and admiring the incredible views of the mountains. It was just a short walk from the terraces too. The apartment had all you could need, from kitchen things, bathroom essentials, air conditioning in the bedrooms and plenty of hot water. The beds were lovely and clean and super comfortable. Be aware, there are stairs leading up to the top floor and balcony and that some crouching needed to enter the kitchen. This wasn’t a problem for us and just added to the fun and uniqueness of this place. There were coffee, dates and other snacks for us on arrival and they were very much appreciated, especially since we arrived late in the evening after a long drive. Our host answered messages quickly and was incredibly welcoming and friendly! We were even taken to his private rose farm one morning, which we were extremely grateful for since our original tour through a professional company was cancelled on us! It’s hard to find this level of kindness and care these days! We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone!

The Host is an amazing guy. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and we had everything that we needed. The house was stunning and it felt like we were in a museum. There was something unique is every corner. The beds were comfortable and overall we had an enjoyable time.

A truly authentic experience. We stayed here for two nights and had an unforgettable stay. The apartment is well equipped and worked perfectly for us travelling with our three year old daughter. The bed is huge and all three of us comfortably slept together. The balcony offers a great view. If you’re after a unique place to stay, look no further.

The location is within an old village so easy to get on the main 3 villages walk. There is nothing else to see in the village and some other abandoned houses nearby. The road down to park is extremely steep but short. Please bring a 4x4. We sent our kids to check nothing else was coming as you don't want to stop halfway up that hill. I wanted to stay in an old traditional building - and you will get that 100%. The heaters in rooms worked well.

The location was super convenient: stunning mountain view, magic sunrise, one of 3 villages connected for a great hike, stunning nature with various gardens all over the mountains. Unique historical building and authentic omani vibes and interior design. Great and helpful host. The kitchen has all you need. There is also a bbq stand outside on the balcony. In cosy majlis you can find lots of books and brochures about Oman and its tourist destinations.

It is a traditional house which has been cleverly updated with modern convenience standards. The atmosphere still feels authentic and the hospitality of the landlord is special, even by Omani standards. If you are taller than 1,50m mind your head ;-) - it is a house built in another time. Breakfast on the terrace is unforgetable with morning light on the mountains.

“Unique Omani beauty”

One of the most unique places we’ve stayed at. We realized how much love the property owner has put in the house. Everything has been thought through. Old to new. View is amazing. And if there is anything, owner is so willing to solve it. He welcomed us with the Omani dates from the region and local fruits. That’s really unique. The hospitality! You need a 4x4 drive to reach the mountain and the place (required by government). So something to take care of before booking. If you’re going for a trek in the mountains, this is an amazing place to stay.

The house has been rebuilt in an old style, very pretty, that make you stay unique. It’s far better compare to the big hotels in the neighbourhood.The owner does everything to procure an amazing experience!

“Memorable stay in an authentic traditional house”

A unique accommodation showcasing the traditional way of life in Jabel Akhdar. The interior is thoughtfully preserved and restored, additionally furnished with many old items like a museum. Reasonably clean and well maintained. Well equipped kitchenette. The open air terrace offers nice mountain view, although the angle isn’t as optimal as the fancy clifftop resorts. The location is convenient as long as coming in a car, close to nearby village with amenities. Bedrooms are equipped with AC w/ heater to keep warm at night. It took us a bit of research to figure out trekking routes nearby (it’s actually right at one end of W18b). Would be good if the host can compile some simple guides for activities.
