I had a fantastic stay at this guest house. The rooms were beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. The host was incredibly helpful, and always available to assist with anything needed during my stay. The hospitality was excellent, and everything was well maintained. I felt very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property to other travelers. The food at the restaurant was also delicious and home made and the views were incredible. Well worth the hike out of town.

This guesthouse has stunning views and modern bathrooms, the rooms are cute and comfy. They offer delicious breakfast and several dinner options with great price-value. It's located above the valley, in the morning you can hear bird songs. The hosts were outstandingly attentive, friendly, caring and dedicated - the best hospitality we experienced on our trip. 100% recommended.

Our stay at Mountain Vista Guest House was one of the highlights of our time in Albania, and we already miss it. We arrived after completing the Valbona–Theth hike, tired but excited, and couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome. The hosts, a lovely couple with a sweet baby daughter, were incredibly kind, relaxed, and genuinely hospitable. They made us feel at home immediately and were always happy to share recommendations and helpful tips about Theth and the surrounding area. The guest house itself is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are simple, authentic, and full of mountain charm, with gorgeous wooden interiors, fresh white bedding, practical storage and hangers, and stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Everything was spotlessly clean and very well cared for. The shared bathrooms deserve a special mention. Shared facilities can sometimes be a compromise when travelling, but not here. They were exceptionally clean, the water pressure was excellent, and there was plenty of hot water. We genuinely couldn’t fault them. One of our favourite details was the fresh mountain spring water. The tap water is drinkable, and there’s even a beautiful spring-fed fountain just outside the property where guests can fill their bottles. It’s a small thing, but it adds so much to the authentic mountain experience. The location is fantastic, especially if you’re arriving from Valbona. After a long day of hiking, we were grateful that the guest house is positioned near the end of the trail, meaning there wasn’t much further to walk. It sits slightly above the centre of Theth, giving it wonderful panoramic views over the valley and mountains. The uphill walk is worth it for the scenery alone, though guests who prefer not to walk may want to arrange transport. The hosts seemed very helpful with local logistics and transport options. The food was another highlight.

The staff are wonderful people, so accommodating and helpful. The property is clean, stylish and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay here.

I would highly recommend anyone I know to go and stay at Mountain Vista Guesthouse. It was the highlight of my trip. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure our stay there was perfect. Making us feel so comfortable. All the options on the menu were fantastic as well as the breakfast! I want to visit Teth again just so I can stay at the guesthouse again.

Where to begin? everything was really amazing! the hosts are incredibly welcoming and make you feel at home from the very begining, food was great and all the spaces were neat but what really got me was the view of the mountain...this hotel has not that name for nothing!

The hosts are very kind and helpful. If you can't drive there, ask them and they will help with the transfer from the city center. The rooms are comfy, and the food is great. The panorama is beautiful!

Beautiful location! Beautiful guesthouse! We were so glad we stayed. The couple who run it were so lovely, we felt so at home. The food was fantastic, we had fish and chips for dinner. And the breakfast was wonderful, a great start to your walk. Hot shower, very comfy bed. I couldn’t recommend it enough

The host was wonderful - she was super welcoming and kind and wanted to upgrade us when we arrived as the guesthouse was quiet - but we went with our chosen room (which was exactly as shown in the photos). We were struggling to find a guide for the valbone-theth pass last minute (snow!!!) and she helped us out (we did go for a different one in the end). It is up a steep hill from the village but that's why you get the views! And we were hiking all the time anyway so didn't bother us! Food was so generous and delicious, set us up for long days of hiking. Super comfy and friendly - great shower too 🙏🫰

“Amazing location, kind hosts!”

We were warmly welcomed by the host and the location of this guesthouse is stunning. It is on the PoB trail, so easy for start of the Theth-Valbona hike (but it means a small extra climb when completing the Vusanje-Theth section). The restaurant offers a small menu for food, which was tasty.

The location was amazing, and the room was small but comfortable. A bit worried as when we arrived the room was quite warm, however in the shadow of the mountain it cooled down considerably and we had an amazing sleep. Our host was lovely, the food was amazing and my only regret is that we didnt stay a second night as we then set off for the Theth to Valbona hike. It was a short way up the hill from Theth, but this only meant we got a headstart on the hike in the morning. 10/10

In a great location if doing the walk from / to Valbone - about twenty minutes above Theth centre. Breakfast included - and really good. Restaurant for that and for dinner perched on edge of hill - with fantastic views across and up/down the valley. Dinner was a bit mixed (the Bruschetta from their own tomatoes exceptional, other stuff not so much)
