I stayed in a chalet room which was very basic, to be expected and it was comfortable. The local restaurant was very good on the campsite. I didn't get to use any of the other facilities.

“Perfect Stay”

We stayed two nights in a chalet at Hotel Legjenda. The area is spacious with a pool, restaurant, and playground. The garden is full of nature, trees, and birds singing. Linda, the owner, was kind enough to provide us with a pet-free accommodation, and Hermes was very helpful during check-in.

We loved staying at Legjenda. It's a beautifully designed place and we loved our chalet in the little forest, it was very comfortable. Linda and her daughter Loren were really nice and very helpful organising transport to the mountains and then helping to get us a good price for a taxi to Tirana. They also gave us great recomendations for things to do. It was an excellent location between Shkoder town and Shiroke. Hiring bikes from Legjenda and cycling to Shiroke which is in a lovely position by the lake was a highlight. Also a great benefit that they have a pool.

The overall vibe - very relaxing. The bar and restaurant were great - so convenient having a bar near the pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful - Linda especially. The location was superb being just outside Shkoder and being surrounded by beautiful hills and the castle in the distance.

Great design, nice people

We stayed in a chalet. It was very clean and with A/C. The swimming pool was perfect to refresh after a warm summer day, and inside the camping there are a restaurant and a bar (serving also breakfast).

“Great atmosphere, wonderful staff, lovely experience”

We had no idea when we booked, but the hotel is located at a small, private campground where people stay in tents and caravans. The vibe here is simply awesome. The pool can be used late into the night, the bar stays open till 23:00 and only takes card, which probably makes it the only bar in all of Albania which functions this way. There’s lots of places to sit down and relax in the backyard and there’s also a tower adorned with zodiac sign mosaics, which you can climb to enjoy the views. The Rozafa castle, which is basically next doors and beautifully lit up at night is also visible and adds to the magic of the place. The staff are also so friendly and helpful. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

What a wonderful hidden gem full of very helpful and friendly people who are focussed on making sure you enjoy your time with them. This place shows how a creative and forward thinking mind combined with a gracious host can creative a welcoming and restful place. Would love to come back! I would recommend an evening walk to the castle walls to watch the sunset over the lake.

We loved the setting and little cottages. Lovely host. Traffic getting out of the city can be really bad (crossing the bridge), this hotel/camping has a good position though.
