Great inn in the mountains, 3 ski fields nearby. Loved the dining room, jazz, Akira-san played music for us. The onsen bath was lovely, cedar wood smells.

Cosy eating area. Small Onsen was great! Breakfast was nice. The host played his flute for us and provided good jazz music to listen too. The place is also very close to Amihari and Iwate Ski Resort.

Really lovely pension and host who has jazz music playing in the dining room most of the time. We had 2 rooms next to each other for our family of 5, with shared bathroom facilities. Breakfast was perfect, just what you need before hitting the ski slopes. Iwate Kogen and Amihari Onsen just up the road. You really need a car with snow tyres to access if there is a lot of snow around. About an hour drive from Appi so definitely doable as a day trip.

“Traditional Pension with great host!”
Wonderful host, amazing food, we ordered dinner and it was an amazing feast. Old school Pension, comfortable but not fancy. Location is perfect (need car) great stay, great ski!

“Thank you Sanrinsha!”
The host, Akira San was kind & very hospitable. He made us feel very welcome. The dining/lounge area is very cosy & Akira always has lovely music playing from his extensive jazz collection. The breakfast was excellent. Amihari & Iwate ski resorts are both only a few minutes drive away. The rooms are very comfortable & the Onsen style bath was just perfect after a day's skiing.

The elderly gentlemen owner speaks very good English and is very kind and accommodating. The place is very quiet. The room is warm. The place is well decorated like a comfortable home.

“Friendly host, nice breakfast, warm and relaxing place to stay in a great location close to many ski resorts if you have”
We loved the hospitality of the host and his lovely homely place which was warm, with soothing soft jazz music playing in the evening, a nice hot Onsen downstairs and while we were in single beds they were quite comfortable for a good nights rest. The breakfast each morning was very nutritious. We hired a car so the location was good to get around to the various ski lodges. We loved our stay for 6 nights at the Pension.

Great ski location for Iwate Kogen Snow Park and Amihari Onsen Ski Resorts. The owner was very kind and hospitable, would recommend this lodge to my Aussie travellers. Owner provided lifts to Iwate Kogen Snow Park and Amihari Onsen Ski Resort.

“Perfect accommodation for the day ski slope”
A pension close (very close) to the ski slope. Excellent host, who drove me to the slope very day. Even tho you could walk it. Basic, but everything needed for a few days of skiing. An ofuro meant an achey body was ready for the next day.
