We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone travelling around Japan. From the moment we arrived, the family who own and operate the hotel made us feel incredibly welcome. They are fabulous hosts, and their excellent English made communication effortless throughout our stay. The setting is truly stunning, with a beautiful private bay by the sea and direct access to a peaceful beach. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The rooms are exceptionally spacious and equipped with every amenity you could wish for, providing both comfort and convenience. The food was another highlight of our stay. The home-grown produce and delicious home-cooked meals were outstanding, with generous portions that ensured we were never left hungry. Parking is also very easy, with plenty of space available and no need to book in advance. This hotel is far more than just a place to stay—it is a memorable experience. The combination of the breathtaking location, exceptional accommodation, incredible food, and warm hospitality makes it a destination in its own right. It is honestly worth the time and effort to visit this amazing location and hotel, and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

“A hidden gem on the coast”

We arrived in the evening after cycling 90km from Tokushima, and we couldn't have been happier to be welcomed with an amazing meal, a clean and comfortable room, welcoming staff, hot baths, and beautiful location on a bay. 110% would stay again.

“Beautiful, simple and great value”

The staff were very friendly and the setting was so beautiful. I walked from the train station so if you are travelling without a car don’t take much luggage. My room was large and had a separate sleeping area as well as a private terrace. I was able to eat dinner on the first evening which was delicious as was the breakfast (with fresh bread from the on-site bakery). So quiet at night and appreciated the sky full of stars and the sound of gentle waves in the bay below.

Amazing pension area with private beach. We had a family room with sea view, it was very comfortable, clean and cozy and had a balcony. We heard the sea all the time which was amazing. Every night dinner was different and it was amazing each time. The best food we had in hotels in Japan!!! The hosts were also very friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Upon arrival our first thought was that it was a bit “tired”. We were wrong. It has a wonderful rustic charm. The bath house is lovely and the rooms are very comfortable. The homemade pumpkin bread was a real winner but all of the food was great. I accidentally left an SD card behind and the staff were immediately onto it and offered a return. A terrific stay!

A wonderful stay right in the seashore. Perfect place for quiet, good food and swimming.

Nice to be by the sea and have a little private beach. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful and the staff were so helpful on arrival. View of the sea was lovely.

Private beach, amazing breakfast and cute log cabin with lots of room for us all. Perfect. Played tennis, swam, paddle boarded. You need a car to reach there and to get around - lots of good places to eat locally just check they are open before you head out and speak to the hosts for recommendations. Wonderful spot worth the journey. Dont miss the crab bath.

have been travelling for 4 months now and this is one of the best/coolest spots weve stayed. amazing local fresh food, great dinner on demand. Owners are super nice and fluent in English and the location is just amazinf in a secluded cove/beach with a really nice onsen facing the ocean!

Breakfast was tasty, western style, served with a smile The dining room has a beautiful view of the bay where black kites fly in and out. Dinner was amazing Japanese cooking, with a series of dishes including interesting side dishes in an elegant serving. ~Also good wine is served. Privacy was pleasant and since I had no car, I could borrow a bicycle and enjoyed walking up the hills and rolling down. When in need, one of the owners offered to drive me to the station. This is a family place, where you can rest and enjoy Shikoku's nature.
