This lodge is located in a very quiet street of the new portion of Shirakawago. The building is modern and neat, everything is new , minimal and very functonal. The rooom was wide, comfy, fuly equipped (slippers, night robes, a variety of pillows, a set to prepare coffee, tea i(ncluding a couple of very good cookies). The bathroom is neat and well organized. We never met the owner, cause this is a self checkin lodge, but the communication via booking is super: quick replies, actual kindness and support. The owner booked a dinner for us in an excellent local restaurant, and offered a shuttle service to the bus terminal. It is a 1,5 km from it and from the start of the ancient village, but the walk is pleasant and very safe. Overall an excellent experience, that I would love to do again, if possible. Arigato!!!

The staff at the Kei guesthouse were extremely helpful with letting me store my luggage there before check in, and helping me move my luggage to my room. It was very clean with lovely amenities provided for free! The bed was comfortable and the room was a great size. It was about a 30 minute walk from the bus station/Shirakawa-go village.

The room was very modern and spacious. Wonderful water pressure in the shower. We had a view of a gassho house and a cherry blossom tree from our window! About a 12 minute walk from the traditional village.
