Overview
Located within a 1-minute walk from Shirahama Beach, Shirahamakan offers hot-spring baths. Free Wi-Fi is available at the public areas. A free shuttle is available from JR Shirahama Train Station, which is a 10-minute drive away. The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. A TV, fridge and an electric kettle with green tea bags are included in each. Japanese Yukata robes are provided for all guests and some rooms come with a foot bath or a private open-air bath. Shirahamakan is a 10-minute drive from Adventure World and a 5-minute drive from Nanki Shirahama Airport. Senjojiki is a 5-minute drive away.

Very nice Onsen resort! Pretty and just got everything you need! We had a small onsen in the room and that allow us for a private Onsen experience. And the room was very traditional Japanese style and spacious enough!

“Value for money stay, conveniently located”
Good location. Definitely older and a bit worn down but the room and the hotel was clean. Spacious room and value for money, probably off peak price . Onsen was a bit disappointing as there is no water at the outdoor pool. Staff was polite

Perfect location just in front of the beach, the rooms are big and the private little onsen makes it a very comfortable place. Other comments complain that it's dated. I mean it is but it's really clean so it really adds some vintage charm to the place and the price is fair. Bonus points for the game area with a billiard and a ping pong table.

“Traditional hotel full of character”
Great location opposite the beach with a convenience store & supermarket nearby. The bus from the railway station stopped very close to the hotel. Shared kitchen facilities were useful to prepare your own food if wanted. The hotel feels old, but it has character. Being able to fit a family of 4 into 1 room made it good value for money. I would definitely stay here again.

“Lovely little beach town/onsen escape”
The hotel has a fantastic lounge area and kitchen facility - it is across from the beach and we were able to get around the area easiliy - the parking was also helpful

“Great place to stay for Onsen and Relaxation...Wish I had more time.”
The hotel is located right opposite the beach, great place to be while having your foot Onsen. The Onsen in the hotel is a great relief after a long drive. A bit disappointed that they did not open up the outdoor Onsen, but the indoor Onsen was great. There weren't many people in the Onsen the day I was there, so it was quiet and nice. The room was comfortable and the bed was comfortable.

“Spacious room with own private semi-open air onsen”
My room is Japanese style with private semi-open air onsen. The room is very spacious which have space to sit and enjoy a cup of tea for relaxing. With the price which we paid that, is more than valuable. Also this hotel is located in city center and you can easily find restaurants nearby and walk to the beach. Bus stop is nearby too. Very convenient for travelers. Staff could write in prefect English for my inquiry by email before my stay.

“Very Convenient Hotel in Shirahama”
Interesting experience staying at a Taisho-era hotel. We booked the room with the private onsen and didn't regret it as our room is spacious and well-maintained. The outdoor bath is a nice touch and the location is conveniently located next to Shirarahama beach. And there are plenty of restaurants nearby too.

Comfortable bed and pillows. Exceptionally clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Location was across the beach, near bars, restaurants and shops. Onsen was a plus, so many shampoos and hair conditioners to choose from
