“Great hotel in a great location”

This was a great place to stay. We stayed 3 nights in May '26 and, as it was off-season, we had the whole place to ourselves! Consequently, we had great service and attention from the staff (Shotta) and the owner (Ted). They made our stay there very memorable. The rooms were comfortable with a balcony overlooking the lake. Breakfast was great and freshly cooked. I'd highly recommend this as a great place to stay and relax.

Breakfast was great. Proprietor was very friwndly and helpful. Good restaurants nearby. Kayaking on the lake was fun. Bedroom was nice and dark, bed was comfortable. Nice place to relax inside your room, the facility or outdoors. Easy parking.

the host Ted, is also the owner on site- which makes our stay personalised. He was able to accommodate and suggest solutions - us, being there for skiing - he recommended an onsen which was clean and affortable - he allowed his staff to drive us to the onsen - to the train station - pick-up from train station - allowed us to rest in the lounge area until our afternoon department

Incredible location and hospitality, one of the best places i have stayed in Japan. Highly recommended.

Amazing spot at the Lake. Perfect location in the middle of 6 ski resorts. Beautiful views. Easy to reach and very laid back atmosphere. Overall great stay

Great spot on the lake! Reasonable breakfast, home style cooking at night dependable. Snacks and drinks available 24/7. Staff were amazing. Big call out to Ted and Jason- even played Uno one night! Close to a couple of good ski fields And great saunas!

Sensational views

Such a lovely place to rest in the peace and quiet of Shinano between visiting big cities. Ted, Shota and Jason where absolutely wonderful hosts and we left feeling like part of the Lake Nojiri Family. Thank you so much for having us!

A perfect location to enjoy some of Japans lesser known parts. To stay in a small lakeside village but still have access to skiing was brilliant.

The resort owner was very kind and friendly (as well as the staff). Be a responsible traveler, open your mind, you will find rules are just for people who need them. During the stay, we shared different experiences and thoughts. The owner is a wise man full of wisdom. I will definitely visit again in a different season to experience and explore more around Nojiri Lake.

Fantastic location, fantastic hosts - have gone above and beyond in support and assistance whilst here as a party member fell unwell.

I think i was the only person there on my first night, Ted welcomed me in and was a great help with any questions i had. The local restaurants were closed for dinner and ted even drove me to one spot to see if it was open. Overall really happy with this accommodation

Lake front, beautiful view from our room. The best thing was the way the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. They were available on site and by phone to provide assistance. Also full of information about out of the way spots to enjoy.
