Everything - the cool vibe of the staff and restaurant, the cleanliness of the room, the location surrounded by greenery and opposite the lake and the food (both dinner and brekkie were great). The staff were really welcoming and obviously cared a lot about making it a great experience.

“A relaxing and comfortable stay in Nature”

This is a magical place that you shouldn't miss on your Japan trip. About an hour from Nagano, tucked between hills, this holiday village is on the shore of lake Nojiri. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The dinner was amazing. We rented the 3-bedroom cottage which was super clean, very well equipped and comfortable. If you crave some time in nature, this is a fantastic place. They also have an award-winning sauna.

Very remote little getaway, but with plenty of guest turnover. Stayed a few nights as wanted to slow down (end of my travels) and this was a great place to recharge. There’s staff were all so friendly too!

This is a really unique place with a truly fantastic vibe, wonderful staff, great location, good food and wonderful concept around traditional Finnish saunas. Don’t leave without trying a private sauna with aroma therapy menu, cold (freezing) plunge and bonfire chill out. Will be back in summer!!

Wonderful and friendly staff with good advice about the surrounding area. The hotel was very very clean with plenty of facilities for guests including access to a microwave and a refrigerator. The common facilities were beautifully maintained (public bath and toilets). The dinner menu was good especially the fish and chips.

The staff we amazing. So friendly and accommodating to our family. The location was so special. We visited in march with fresh snow, the place was magical. The sauna is also incredible. We also took a taxi up to Kurohime snow park to ski for the day which was only about 10 minutes away.

“Cosy cabin with private sauna - our favourite stay!”

Wow, what a stay! The location is beautiful, next to the lake (I imagine it would be even more beautiful and accessible in warmer weather). Check-in was an easy process despite the language barrier. The cabin was so wonderful. As soon as we entered, it smelled of cedar. Facilities were clean and stocked well. It’s a self-contained unit with plenty of utensils provided (and complimentary coffee)! The futon is quite comfortable, a lot softer than the standard hotel mattresses in Japan. And it’s situated next to a large window overlooking a garden (covered in snow for us). There is a private sauna and cold bath, which we also made good use of. The check-in area also doubles as a cafe/dining area which was super cosy and provided great food. Our favourite stay overall, thanks LAMP!

The ambiance is nice. Backpackers and hikers around the place. Wooden houses with fireplaces and saunas in front of the main building
