“Feels a bit old, but good”
The hotel is a little bit to the side of the main touristic area, so it's quiet, but still close enough to the popular Ikaho Stone Steps. The lady in reception was very helpful and polite, and they have a very cute and friendly cat around the reception area that gives the hotel extra points. While the hotel is old, they have evidently been doing renovations. For example, our room had new fresh tatami mats, a new state of the art ceiling-mounted air conditioner/heating unit.
