“A relaxing stay with a wonderful private onsen, excellent breakfast, and very welcoming staff.”

We had a wonderful one-night stay at Shiretoko Village. The room was comfortable, the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, and for just a very small additional fee we enjoyed access to a private onsen that was both relaxing and atmospheric. The traditional Japanese breakfast was superb and one of the highlights of our stay. We would love to return in the future and highly recommend staying here.

The place was very cozy and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was yummy, main dish for breakfast changed every day which is nice. Plenty of parking space outside the property. Conveniently located with 2 convenient stores down the hill, and plenty of small local restaurants around the area. Highly recommend this hotel.

Simple, nice and traditional low cost accomadation with good basic onsen with great water .The staff were especislly helpful when we accidentally left a passport in the room and had travelled to our next place, going out of their way to organise next day postal delivery and were very attentive and helpful with prompt replies. We really appreciated their effort and we received the passport with good time. They understood the urgancy and really care

I booked the breakfast and dinner, and the dinner were surprisingly generous. They do provide pick up and delivery service at certain timing, you just need to check with them in advance.

I liked the onsen and the drink station. Also the ability to warm up your food with the microwave provided. The staff during Check-in spoke english quite well, which surprised me, as this is not always the case in Japan.

Cheapest place to stay near shiretoko and a true traditional japanese inn , nothing fancy but have a real soul to it, room are simple and the onsen is public

Secluded, up a small hill. Onsen was ok, water and ice dispenser.

We really liked the japanese style room and the robe. The futons were very comfy. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, and you need a car to get around. Utoro is very nice and we wished we could stay longer.

I liked the lobby's style and you are not in the city center (15 minutes walking) but it's easy and most of local activites offer a pick up at the hostel. The onsen is pleasant facility too !

Good size of room, lovely staff, nice onsen baths and pretty close to the convenience store and perfect place to set off into shiretoko National park the next day Also had laundry fridge and microwave

I loved my bed it was very comftereble, the curtains realy blocked light well. I loved the window in my room and the glass doors in the livingroom, beutiful view. Feel like im in the midle of a forest. The area is beuatiful,on the first day ive seen a fox on my way to the hostel, and from my room window i could see wood packers. I got a free towel, which not all hostels give you, so that was nice too. And i managed to get a private onsen whenever i needed i for only 1100 yen,, which was one of my concerns looking at the comment section on booking. Oh and i almost forgot to say there was a cat outside, that i could see from the livingroom once in a while.

The room was very basic but there were good things: very nice shared living room, very nice private onsen, the shared one was also good, delicious and beautiful dinner. It is not far away from the bus station so it is possible to explore Shiretoko from there.
