“Lovely seaview in Utoro”

The beds are comfy and the see view is so relaxing. We reached the hotel by foot - so we had a nice 15 mins stroll away for town.

Place is homely, clean and welcoming. Reasonably priced and a nice change from more fancy hotel accommodation. Lots of parking and great views of the bay. Enjoyed having access to the communal kitchen. owner is a delightful lady who went out of her way to help us with finding a guide.

The shared kitchen was great! The view was amazing.

“Fantastic hotel with super equipped kitchen”

Wonderful family owned hotel, one of the most pleasant stays of our 5 weeks in Japan. Beautiful views, spacious family room, especially as there is a vast, cosy and bright common space and kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped, the most equipped we've ever seen (multiple excellent cutting knives, plenty of cutlery and plates, bowls, pans, etc.). The family running the hotel are smiling and welcoming and they even gave the kids a little souvenir. . The location is super convenient for visiting Shiretoko. We really felt at home there. All of this for a very reasonable price given the prices of other hotels nearby.

The sea view from the bedroom is amazing. Free coffee and excellent kitchen facilities available.

Great sea view and got to experience intertidal walk with abundance of mini crabs and oysters.

Lovely friendly family run hotel,beautiful view across the bay.Commumal kitchen / dining area is well equipped and again,a lovely view. The family could not be more helpful,second time I have stayed here and when I visit Utoro a 3rd time I hope they have a room for me.

“A very pleasant stay”

A nice homey hotel located beside the sea. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. No breakfast provided but free brewed coffee at the lounge any time of the day, and guests are free to use the facilities in the lounge. Nice view from the lounge and room. Big comfortable clean room. Free on premise car parking.

“3 night stay.”

The town doesn't have that many food choice, so it was really comfortable to have a shared kitchen in the hotel which also allowed us to mingle with other guests. It was family friendly and we even saw a fox near the hotel on the way back.

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Iruka. The location is absolutely beautiful – right by the sea, with rooms offering stunning ocean views. The hotel itself is very clean and well-maintained. My room was spacious, nicely furnished, and spotless. There’s also a large shared kitchen that’s perfect if you want to cook your own meals. Another big plus: free parking is available right in front of the hotel – super convenient! What really stood out was the kind and helpful staff. I had a car breakdown during my stay, and they went above and beyond to help me – they made phone calls and helped organize everything, which really took the stress out of the situation. I highly recommend Hotel Iruka to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic stay by the sea with warm, supportive service.

Extremely nice atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed stay. Incredible mountain&sea views from the shared lounge and the room window. Spacious and comfortable room, free coffee in the lounge and an equipped kitchen if you want to cook. Great location just outside Utoro center (2 min drive).
