“Magical would love to return one day”

Perfect location, friendliest and most helpful staff you could ever wish for. Amazing wine bar on the roof terrace with incredible view of the temples in the main square. Staff helped organise trips and provided recommendations for restaurants. Loved our stay there and would highly recommend!

“Great location, friendly staff and comfortable room.”

What stood out was the hotel staff, the hotel location, the lobby decor, and the room. Our taxi could not stop in front of the hotel, but the staff came out to help with our luggage right after our driver called them. We were received by their staff with hot ginger tea and white Tibetan scarves. Our room is spacious and comfortable. The bedding and towels were very clean. There was a heater in the shower too. We had a good rest. We also appreciated that they allowed us to chill at the hotel and served us tea while we were waiting for our flight at night. Don't forget to check out the view at their wine bar on the second floor, where you can see the nearby temple in the GuiShan Park.

“A fine hotel but on the wrong side of town.”

Beautiful place with an upstairs terrace with fabulous views of the temples on the hill. Room was not huge but perfectly adequate. Staff were very attentive and ensured we had plenty of ginger tea. Breakfast was excellent.

The location was good. Close to many food options, convenient stalls, a large supermarket, and even a pharmacy.

The location is fantastic, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. The staff was amazing friendly, attentive and always willing to help. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, which added to the stay's enjoyment. Breakfast has enough variety.

Amazing place. Really beautiful and very well located. The staff is very helpful and goes the extra mile. Apparently there are many activities organised by the hotel, that we did not know about. When you are there, make sure to inquire about these.

“Perfect base for shangri-la city”

The staff was exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay great. We went at off-peak season and the uncle who works the front desk doubled as our driver for a day. He suggested we go to Na Pai Hai and Songzalin Monastery-- we had a great time at both places, and he gave us a great rate. The staff went to our rooms to serve hot yaks milk the winter night-- perfect way to end the night especially for my niece, who is six years old. Breakfast is also fantastic, highly recommend the fried noodles. Super well located in Shangri-la city. We had lots of big luggage and were traveling with a kid, but the hotel helped us with everything including late-night airport transfer, and recommendations on where to eat in the city.

“Very friendly welcome to Shangri-la”

Cute boutique hotel, with exceptionally friendly service from airport pick-up, to welcome scarf and ginger tea, to Chinese & Western style breakfast. Rooms comfortable, and nice touches like chess board in the lobby. Very accommodating when we arrived a day late because of a missed flight connection.

All was just perfect 👌
