I am writing to report a very concerning and unacceptable incident that occurred at your hotel on the night of Tuesday, 28th May, at approximately 11:00 PM or shortly thereafter. While I was attempting to use the guest elevators, I was approached and followed into the lift by an individual who I believe was not a registered guest and was present for illicit purposes. This person was a lady dressed in a black formal shirt. She did not press the lift button to call the elevator, nor did she select a floor upon entering the lift with me. Once inside, she proceeded to offer me illegal massage services. This experience was deeply shocking and unsettling. I chose to stay at/visit a Renaissance hotel expecting a high standard of safety, security, and professionalism. To encounter an individual soliciting illegal services within the hotel, and specifically in an area like the guest elevators which should be secure, is completely unacceptable and raises serious questions about the hotel's security measures and vigilance. This incident has significantly impacted my perception of your hotel and the safety it affords its guests. I am extremely disappointed that such an occurrence could happen at an establishment of your reputation. I urge you to: Investigate this incident thoroughly. Review and significantly enhance your security protocols to prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing guest floors and soliciting guests. Ensure the safety and well-being of your guests is treated as the utmost priority. I trust you will take this matter with the seriousness it warrants and implement immediate corrective actions. I would appreciate being informed of how you intend to address this issue to prevent future occurrences.

We had a wonderful stay in the hotel. The room is clean and nice and the staff are helpful and friendly. It was a short 8 mins walk to food and Caohejing in City, a swanky mall where u can get your shopping done. The 12 mins walk to the subway station is also a pleasant one. The hotel is just next to Tencent.

A lovely hotel close to a location we needed to visit. Rooms were nice, all facilities very clean but the stand out were the staff. Not only were they very visible and polite but spoke very good English for what is not central Shanghai and were extremely helpful.
