Great staff, room everything

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and were treated like Kings and Queens. Our evening meal was served on the lawn in front of the river to the sounds of hippos. The food was fantastic. Such a quirky lodge with fantastic staff. Our trip on the river with FLY was magical and we saw over 12 crocodiles and hippos. Thanks to Scott and Casey for being wonderful hosts. We will recommend you warmly to all of our family and friends.

Everything! Incredible location, amazing staff, really tasty food, a fantastic guide in Fly and a superb room. We were the only guests staying and we could not have been looked after better! Each evening they set up a table for us with the best views of the Okavango Delta sunset. We were genuinely sad to leave. Xaro Lodge is so perfect that it made the other accommodation we stayed at in Southern Africa seem rather ordinary.

The lodge is located directly on the Okavango River. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the food and chef were excellent. Our suite was very spacious, very clean, and accessible via a long jetty. Our guide, Fly, was particularly knowledgeable about the diverse bird and animal life. We enjoyed romantic dinners in nature with a view over the river.

Absolutely everything. Scott and Casey were very caring hosts, the staff super friendly and efficient, exceptional meals. Tha chalets positioned overlooking the river. The morning walk with Thomas the guide was fascinating, excellent birder. Saw 3 Pells fishing owls. Met all expectations of what a lodge on the Okavango should be.

Idyllic lodge at the Okavango river, superb location, great variety of birds to watch including the Pels fishing owl! We had a fantastic relaxing stay at Xaro and enjoyed the river cruises with our guide enormously. Thank you so much for this unforgettable stay!

“Breathtaking location and superb service and attention to details!”

Super service and incredible attention to detail - comparable to a luxe hotel. The place is incredible, in the middle of the most stunning nature. Food is superb - everything is home made, including bread, garlic bread, pancakes, cakes at 3 every afternoon! We did a 2 hour helicopter flight above the Okawango delta which will have a place in our heart and memories forever. Sean helped us booking our next destination and he went above and beyond for us! It was our delayed honeymoon and everything was perfect!!!!

What is there not to like! A little Botswana gem in Botswana's huge gemstone the Okavango Delta. Hosts Romy and Shaun go out of their way to make sure you have a memorable stay.
