Magical setting and a beautiful house on the edge of the Atlas mountains and an excellent location, not only to stay, but to tour the surrounding area packed with oases, canyons and film locations. Saharawhy, my host, was very helpful and informative and his mother cooked some delicious food for me. This place is the embodiment of Saharan hospitality and you would find such a place hard to beat.

First of all, the house is very clean. There is nothing to disturb you because there is no lodges around it. At rooftop you can enjoy beautiful scenery of Atlas range. Rooftop is also very special place to watch stars.

A unique experience, in a remote location, at the foot of the mountains, with a lovely courtyard and great view of the night sky. Great to have the whole place to ourselves. The owner is very welcoming and speaks good English, plus offers an excellent, tasty dinner, cooked by his mother (at an additional cost), which we highly recommend. Perfect location for visiting Chebika, Midés and Tamaghza.

One of the best place I have ever stayed in. If you want a unique once in a lifetime place to spend the night, this is the one to choose. Situated against the beautiful Atlas mountains, the desert and a nice orchard. On the top floor you have magnificient views. I had the pleasure to stay 3 nights and they were fantastic. The host arranged breakfast and dinner for me and the quality of the food was very high. Price quality ratio is excellent. Very friendly host who is open for a nice conversation and even a tour through the new orchard. Facilities were in excellent condition, nice hot shower, good toilet, kitchen at your disposal. The host lives on the upper floor so you do not sleep alone in the Castle. The castle is situated outside town but it is safe none the less. Oh and watch out for the green peppers, host says they are not hot but he is Tunesian, so now you know what happened when I tried the green pepper!

“Castle in the desert”

This is probably the single most amazing place I have ever stayed in. A small castle in the middle of the desert, comfortable, clean, fully equipped with everything you might need. Located in a pleasant garden about 1km outside Chebika village, on the border between the desert and the mountains, it is a dream come true for all who want to get away from everything and enjoy complete serenity without sacrificing their comfort. It is also a fantastic base for exploring the mountain oases of Chebika, Tamerza and Mides, and taking advantage of other hiking opportunities in the area. Florian was prompt to answer all online inquiries, and Salah, who speaks French, English, Polish and Arabic and who lives across the road (about 20 minutes walking away), was exceptionally nice, kind and helpful. Unless you are afraid of wide open spaces or sleeping in complete isolation, do not hesitate. I tend to forget 95% of places I have stayed at. Castello Bianco is one place I will remember for sure.
