“A peaceful and relaxing place with lovely gardens and pool.”

The property is set in its own enclosed grounds. It is very private and safe with flat parking for several cars. It has its own pool and several different seating areas, including sun loungers, in the sun and shade. There is also a toilet near the pool area which is handy when outside. All the bedrooms had independent air conditioning units. One bedroom and bathroom were on the ground floor and the other bedrooms and bathroom were upstairs. There was a nice terrace off the hall with excellent views over the olive groves and hills to the back of the property. The TV worked well and we were able to watch Netflix films etc on it.

The location strikes a perfect balance — close enough to wander into the heart of Setenil and its cave-lined streets, yet removed enough to enjoy peace, privacy, and panoramic vistas. The house itself is spotless and beautifully maintained, blending rustic charm with modern comfort. One of its standout features is the mezzanine level in the garden, above the stunning pool — an inviting garden space that feels made for perfect sunrises, slow mornings, quiet reading, or simply gazing out over the landscape with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine at sunset. Inside, everything is thoughtfully arranged and well-equipped, from the comfortable beds to the fully functional kitchen. It’s clear the hosts have put love into every detail, and their warmth and attentiveness make the stay even more special. Whether you’re exploring the region or looking to unwind with a view, La Casa de la Abuela 2 is a peaceful retreat with a soul. Highly recommended for travelers who appreciate authenticity, calm, and a touch of magic.

“Private, Secure House With Pool”

The property was very private, secure and in the main peaceful. The facilities were good, a few things in the kitchen could be added to make it easier for two to cook e.g. smaller pans. For us, just adding two mugs to make a proper 'English' cup of tea, would have been great. Having said that it did have a kettle for making that all important cup of tea, just needed those bigger cups to make it perfect. The hose had everything else you would want, a wood burner, bar-b-que and there was plenty of wood provided. The swimming pool was good and safe, sadly a little cool in May but children would not care. There are two bedrooms with double beds and a bedroom with two 3ft 6" (106.6 cm) single beds. The windows in the bedroom have shutters so it can be made nice and dark for sleeping. The windows also have fly screens, this is great as you can let air in but keep bugs out. It was a 15/20-minute walk to the cafes in the town, note however that you start your walk on the roadside for 2/3 mins before you reach a path. 2/3 minutes further is a bar restaurant that is open for breakfast and lunch, closing around 5pm and is closed Tuesdays. You are then really need to have looked at a map to plan your best route to centre of the village. It is very steep down the streets, and they do not have a logical way down to the river and cafes so unless you just want to wander and hope you find everything...

Everything was amazing. The space of house, comfortable beds, fully equiped kitchen, dinning room, garden, place for barbecues. It's just few minutes walking to the old city of Setenil. The owners are very helpful and welcomed us like family. We're fully recommend this place to get relax and to visit all beautiful white cities around.

Beautiful home to stay in. seperate from main property and super quiet Apartment was massive with 3 rooms and a fully equipped kitchen with huge freezer and fridge space. Beautiful bathroom, one of our favourites we've had on our many stays on holiday. Thankyou for everything
