I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms aren’t large, but they’re clean, cozy, and full of charm — just perfect for relaxing. The view from the property, especially of the surrounding mountains, is absolutely breathtaking and adds so much to the atmosphere. What made the experience even more special was the warm and welcoming attitude of the owners. During breakfast, I even got to hear a bit about the history of the hotel, which gave the stay a personal and memorable touch. If you're looking for more than just sterile comfort — a place with soul, character, and a genuine genius loci — this is it. The common areas like the restaurant are spacious and inviting, perfect for enjoying the view and the ambiance. I completely fell in love with this magical place and can’t wait to return.

We loved our stay at Hotel Holzer. Natalie and Stephan were great hosts, very attentive and helpful. The hotel is like a tiny museum, the rooms are large and we were lucky to have an amazing view of the mountains. The food (both dinner and breakfast) was just lovely.

Hotel Holzer is a wonderful little gem hidden in Moso/Moos, an easy-to-reach town in South Tyrol and perfect for making a trip up to the Three Peaks of the Dolomites. The stay for me was absolutely brilliant and I can't recommend this place enough. Nicole was an absolutely outstanding host, quite possibly the most welcoming and friendly Hotel Manager I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I was so well looked after; when I missed breakfast on my first morning, Nicole personally kept some breakfast food waiting for me on a window table (including a bunch of absolutely delicious homemade jam and herbs from the garden), made me cappuccinos, explained the history of the region and helped me plan a solo hike up to the dolomites (which by the way, are really easy to get to from this hotel!). When it came to the hike, Nicole even gave me a lift to the starting point of the hike at 7am (so I could do the hike on my second day, with the better weather, and still make my train onwards). As we left before Breakfast, Nicole sent me on my way up the mountain with several homemade sandwiches and a thermos full of hot berry tea - very much needed up top! Bear in mind that I visited in the off-season, and no two experiences will be the same, but Nicole has so much passion for the hotel, the town and her guests, "above and beyond" doesn't even begin to cover it. Nicole really made the difference between a pleasant hotel stay and an outstanding one. I would rate 12 starts if I could(!!). Thank you Nicole for making my visit so welcoming and memorable - Moso/Moos and South Tyrol was the highlight of my trip and I hope to come back one day!
