Overview
Surrounded by granite outcrops and with stunning views and roaming wildlife, Desert Quiver Camp offers modern self-catering accommodation, located just 5 km away from the entrance gate to Sossusvlei. The uniquely designed units at Desert Quiver Camp come with a spacious bedroom and en-suite bathroom with shower. The units include a covered patio area, fitted with kitchenette, fridge, seating area and barbecue facilities. Facilities include a fully stocked on-site bar, 2 communal boma areas for groups or families traveling together as well as an outdoor pool with views towards the Elim dune. Utility boxes with most utensils needed are available at reception and fresh food supplies can be ordered daily. Meals are available for a surcharge at a neighboring lodge, 5 km from Desert Quiver Camp.

The location is stunning, the chalets are very nice and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and the pool and bar area is very nice. The sunsets are spectacular and it is a good base for visiting Deadvlei

“Fabulous”
Absolutely fantastic value for money compared to everything else around here. Immaculately presented, clean. Loved the pool, bar and views. There is a fridge and kettle and a braii so we cooked for ourselves with the sunset as backdrop. We got to the gate at 7.20 am no queue straight in and on the dune walking by 8.50 which took us an hour up and fast slide down (but we are fit). Can really recommend this place

Breakfast as Sossusvlei Lodge was great, the braai packs was great although, as a South African, maybe a bit steep. But all in all it was great and pictures were spot-on.

Location was great for accessing Sossusvlei, Moses at reception was extremely helpful and informative. Rooms had everything necessary and were fresh and clean. Beautiful views from sunset to sunrise and lovely pool and bar.

“Dreamy Desert Stay close to Sossusvlei”
We would've loved to stay longer! You have a beautiful Chalet to yourself. Big, spacious room with a nice shower and very comfortable bed in the middle of the Namib Desert and close to Sossusvlei Dunes. The Breakfast was served as a huge and delicious buffet in the neighbouring hotel. We also had dinner there (buffet style as well) which was about 22€ each with a huge variety of food.

“Great cabin in the middle of the desert”
Very well kept cabin in the middle of the desert. You can sit in front of your cabin and just enjoy the beautiful view! Good distance to Sossusvlei Breakfast and dinner was in a nearby lodge, very good quality and a nice bufett, with friendly staff and a nice view in the desert
