The location was perfect. It was close to the orangutang rehabilitation center which was our main reason the visit Sepilok. The Sun Bear was just opposite the Orangutang center and also a short drive from the Rainforest Discovery Centre. We could visit all three places in one day without getting stressed with two children including an hour long lunch. The breakfast was average but still fine.

A perfect location on the edge of the rainforest and just a 10 minute walk to the Orangutan and Sunbear rehabilitation centres. Food was also excellent and the dining area is beautiful. The pool setting is also wonderful to unwind and take in your surroundings.

Great location - only 5-10 min walk from thr Orangatun and Sunbear sanctuaries and close to the RDC also. The grounds are beautiful and very peaceful. Quite a few reviews about the staff and theft but they were excellent during my stay - good english and no problems. The restaurant does get busy but never had any significant delay. It is more pricey also but expected given where you are but food is tasty. I stayed in the dorm - comfy beds. Very hot but fans do the job. I don't think they clean the dorm rooms during the stay which is a shame - communal areas are cleaned.

“Place not to be missed.”
The environment the hotel was in was beautiful, close to the orrangatangs and sun bears. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. Food and drink was very good. I would like to give a special thank you to Kay who has a lovely personality and is a credit to the hotel, as are all the staff.

The evening meal was good . There was a really good choice on the menu. Every member of staff we came across were friendly and informative. We had a basic twin bed lodge and it was perfect for our needs. It was clean and had everything we needed for our 1 night stay.

“Authentic rainforest accommodation”
The property was a great location with a hike located on site and walking distance (10 mins) to the Sepilok attractions like the orangutans and sun bears. We saw a few macaques and squirrels on the property.

Wonderful luxury lodge in great location, set in fantastic jungle surrounds. The pool was a welcome treat in the heat. The restaurant offers good selection of meals. Breakfast was good. The Lodge was well equipped. Ours had WiFi, though this isn't standard I believe. Our outside bathroom was interesting with little birds visiting to admire themselves in the mirror. There were lots of nice touches, Scrabble and Chess boards, insect spray and toiletries. Our Lodge had air-conditioning. It is around 15 minutes walk to the Orangutan and Sun Bear conservation centres. The hotel can arrange currency exchange but charges 15%. The hotel can arrange taxi transfer to the airport. We paid 60 Malay dollar one way. We loved this place. What a great find. One of our group woke around 6am to see a monkey on the path outside the lodge window. Superb!

“It was lovely and relaxing but the food overpriced and not that good.”
Beautiful location and the cabins were great. Ours overlooked the beautiful forest. We had a monkey and lots of squirrels in the trees. It was very relaxing and a short ride to everything.
