Overview
Set in the central area of Seoul, The Shilla Seoul is the Forbes-nominated 5-star Hotel for 6 consecutive years from 2019 to 2024. The hotel features 6 dining options. It offers a free shuttle to Shilla Duty Free Shop and Dongguk University Station (Line 3). Furnished in warm colours, rooms have both air conditioning and heating. “An institution in the luxury hotel class in Seoul!”
Well "The Shilla" is obviously a class of its own compared to the more budget oriented hotels we used during our Japan & South Korea trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but this is what you expect from a 5* Hotel. The bed and bedsheets were super comfortable and the view from the Hotel to Seoul Tower is spectacular on a sunny clear day. If you are not used to the kind of attention a luxury hotel gives to its guests, you might feel a bit out of place. The breakfast buffet is outstanding, so give yourself a full hour to enjoy it in the morning.

Don't hesitate, BOOK IT! There are many five star hotels around the world where the meet the criteria for such an accolade but very few that actually deliver a five star experience. The Shilla Seoul exceeds expectations in every department, setting a shining example for others who truly wish to deliver an outstanding service. I look forward to visiting again and indeed will make detours on future travels just to experience once again this world class hotel.

“Peak of luxury, absolutely incredible D”
If you have money to spare, I'd highly recommend staying at Shilla hotel. This was our honeymoon so we decided to spoil ourselves with 2 nights here on our trip. From the moment we got off the taxi, it truly felt like peak luxury experience. The staff were exceptional and the room, the view was just breath-taking. Every single amenities were all such amazing brands and the bathroom was so beautiful. Even the slippers were different sizes for me and my husband (the attention to detail wow) and we also really appreciated that staff 'introduced' the room to us. While we were there, we also went to La Yeon restaurant which was just an absolute cherry on top.

Splendid stay at one of Seoul’s finest and most famous hotels, known to have accommodated famous South Korean celebrity weddings. The room was spacious, well-designed, and extremely comfortable, making it truly worth the money for the entire duration of our stay. The service was excellent throughout, with staff who were consistently friendly, professional, and accommodating. Housekeeping was also outstanding. The room was always cleaned thoroughly and nicely each day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a hotel I would happily recommend to others as part of a lifetime experience to those visiting South Korea.
