“Comfortable Stay in a Quiet, Convenient Location”

Clean and comfortable guesthouse in a quiet neighbourhood with easy access to a major metro station nearby. The room was cosy, the entire property was very clean, and the host was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the stay, especially via email. A smooth and pleasant experience overall!

Not the most social place, but generally a nice and quiet hostel. It’s only a 15 min walk to hongik university station, and there’s plenty of busses right outside the door.

I'm very surprised to see that the real place look exactly like the photos! Very clean, comfortable and homey. It's near the hongdae shopping street, so i can stay at hongdae till late and go back walking without thingking about the last bus. Bus with climate card also reach the bus station near this hostel. The host is so kind, and the living instructions is super clear.

Good things: - It was clean when I arrived but they didn't clean the room during the stay and there were other girls coming and going. - The rooms are big

“An absolute gem”

Everything was neat and tidy. You can feel that there is a lot of thought and love behind the guesthouse organization and all the amenities provided. The room was spacious and had 3 mirrors, hairstyling tools, qtips, cotons... The hosts make you feel like you're at home. Knowing the struggle of being vegetarian here, Lina helped me find nice veg restaurants, ordered food for me, and even helped me cook it! This stay was the highlight of my trip in Seoul. It's well located and so comfortable if you're looking for somewhere to relax and regain your energy. Thank you so much ladies for your time and dedication.

I almost never leave a bad review but I feel like people should know that this place is highly overrated. This place is entirely self check-in and check-out and the host stays in the same house as you. Upon confirmation, any communication with the host will be entirely through the chat so download the booking.com app ahead of time to have better access to the chat as you most likely will need help finding the location since there is absolutely no sign anywhere outside the building or in front of the front door. The host, Lina greets you coldly and makes you feel dumb for asking questions about which room/bed is reserved for you. Apparently, she sends out a long list of house rules and directions through the chat after confirmation but I didn't get any messages until late at night on my first day. Because I didn't know where exactly I was staying I made some noise going up and down the stairs and she came out of her room looking annoyed. She then asked to see my phone to look at her messages and showed me the last line of her long message about the floor I'll be staying on. I was shocked to see this kind of attitude in a host and appalled to hear the S* word from her. I asked her about the AC which her long list of rules mentioned having but when asked about it in person, she said no in an unfriendly way. At this point, I was so tired from the day and didn't want to make a scene so I just opened the windows and went on to get ready for bed. The whole stay was uncomfortable as I felt like every little thing I do, I need to go back to refer to her rules to make sure I didn't violate any of them. It's hard to use the common area freely because the host occupies the space at night and watches you like a hawk.

I liked the location, which was very strategic in the Hongdae area. Walking distance to Hongik Univ train station (or you can take bus with bus stop 2 mins away). Also close to Mangwon market if you're looking for cheap various nice food, korean mart, banks, convenience stores, etc. The accommodation was clean and had such a comfortable vibe. Rate was very reasonably cheap (cheapest I could find with such location and quality of the accommodation). Thank you Riri and Lina for providing me with nice stay (and also helped me with some questions). I'll definitely recommend Sunyhouse if you're coming to Seoul!

The host is very accommodating and really cares about everyone who are staying at her place. She allowed me to check in earlier than usual, and that's awesome. The location is great, too. It's a 15-minute walk to Hongdae and the train stations (there are nearby bus stops, if you don't feel like walking lol). The place is clean and sunny, too!

It was in a great area. Super close to Hongdae, and easy to walk around the area. When it got late, didn;t have to worry about bus times or taking taxis to get back. The host was nice and the accommodation was cute.

“Safe, clean and convenient spot”

The accommodation is 800m walk from Mangwon station, not far in terms of time. It's nicely hidden away above a Thai restaurant in a quiet residential street. Solid bedding, amenities and verandah offers a nice spot to eat and chill. WiFi throughout.The team are lovely and even offer to help you place takeout (which I regrettably didn't) if you're like me and eat convenience food for quick meals ha. Note there is no elevator ladies so work them arms up the stairs but it's worth the short haul. Plenty of 7/11s, GS25s along the way, 24 hour laundromat, dry cleaning too. Mangwon offers it's traditional market and plenty of cheap Korean eats, a few open 24/7. Great stay overall and would stay again!
