Its like staying with your mom and dad in a different country. We usually stay in hotels. My husband and I had a great time chatting with Lee and Shin and had a homely experience in Korea. Great location for seeing palace nearby, touristy area. Easy to find.

The hosts were extremely nice and accommodating.. The place was very clean and in a good location. It was very interesting to experience a little real Korean culture and food.

This was a wonderful place to stay for my last 2 nights in South Korea. Both of the owners were so warm and friendly. I was made to feel very welcome here! When I arrived, I was given a delicious drink, and on both of the mornings, Mrs Lee made a yummy homemade Korean breakfast, which was filling and nourishing. I especially appreciate that on the morning that I left, she got up early to make me breakfast. The guesthouse itself is very clean and welcoming and has a pretty garden. I wish I could have stayed longer so that I could have spent more time in it! My room was a good size and my bed was large and very comfortable. The neighbourhood that the guesthouse is in is very beautiful, with lots of nice, trendy coffee shops and independent stores. It’s a peaceful place to be in Seoul. On my first day staying at the guesthouse, I was wandering around the area, and spotted Mr Shin in one of these coffee shops and he very kindly bought me a coffee! Thank you very much Lee and Shin :)

The hosts are charming and create a feeling of family hospitality while still giving guests privacy. They kindly helped with every request. The place is cozy and pleasant, with a traditional atmosphere, and is located in an excellent area within walking distance of many high spots: food street , the Blue House, Tongin Market, and the hanok alleyways. Water, coffee, and tea are available in the shared area of the house. I loved the shared garden. I ate there the breakfasts prepared by the host. Thank you very much, I truly enjoyed my stay. I will miss you

“Best stay on my travels worldwide”

I've been lucky to have travelled a lot of the world, the hosts and accommodation was the best experience.

Great hosts. Shin and Lee are very hospitable. Location is near subway and bus stops, so it is easy go get to anywhere. House is an interesting thing in itself. Other guests try to be respectable towards noices after 11 PM, so that's nice too. Breakfast is delicious. Overall a great place from which to explore Seoul.

We really enjoyed our stay with Shin and Lee, they are lovely hosts 🙂 They welcomed us into their home, showed us around the neighbourhood and are always happy to share tips/ideas of what to do in the city. The home cooked Korean breakfasts are great to start the day! The house is located in a quiet street, just 10' on foot from the metro station and easy to reach from Incheon airport with the limouse bus 6011. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes around and the market is also next door.

Nothing was more lovely than my stay in the hanok. The owners were incredibly kind—they truly made the difference. I felt like part of their family for a few days.

This has to be one of the best guesthouse stays I've ever had, the house was spotless, comfortable, and so convenient. The hosts went above and beyond for me, it felt like I was staying with family, and they even showed me around the local area and walking spots, very kindly in their free time. If/when I return to Seoul again I would definitely stay here again, it was peaceful, restful and felt like a haven at the end of the day in a busy city. It was so amazing to have a Korean cooked breakfast every morning and so lovely to spend the morning talking to and learning about the hosts family and lives, really such special treatment you would never get this type of insight into Seoul life at a hotel!!

Seochon Guesthouse is perfectly situated in a quiet street very close to the palaces. There are plenty of good cafes and restaurants nearby. Lee and Shin offer a warm and welcoming environment in their cosy guesthouse - an authentic Korean experience you won’t find in a hotel. Lee’s breakfasts are amazing!

Central location close to metro and bus stops. Traditional Seoul house kept well - very clean and tidy. Proprietors were helpful and gave me excellent advice on tours, visits and general matters. You were really made to feel part of the family! Thank you so much for all you did.

Seochon Guesthouse was a great place to stay in Seoul. The hosts are extremely kind and caring, always ready to help with anything you need. They make you feel very welcome from the moment you arrive. The guesthouse is very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The rooms are simple but cozy, and everything is organized with attention to detail. The location is also excellent. Many places are within walking distance, including restaurants, small shops, and the subway, which makes it very easy to move around the city. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend Seochon Guesthouse to anyone visiting Seoul.

I am so glad I booked Seochon guesthouse for my trip to Seoul. Lee and Shin are amazing hosts, and were so kind and caring throughout my stay. It was so helpful to have all of their recommendations of what to do and see in Seoul. It was the perfect start to my first trip to Seoul as a solo traveller.

The location is excellent. Everything you want to see and to eat in two days is in walking distance from this guest house. The hosts are friendly. I felt as if we were living with them. They ate breakfast with us and the same menu as us. We loved the experience with this house and our first South Korea tour. Highly recommended.

“Super traditional guesthouse with lovely hosts and prime city location.”

Perfect central location and the sweetest hosts made me feel very welcome and comfortable while travelling alone from the UK. Lee took me for a walk around the neighbouring streets and we ate together on my first night giving me a good grasp of my surroundings. Shin cooks breakfast which is served at 8:30am, it was delicious and warm served with side accompaniments and fruit and Lee played traditional Korean music during this time too. Lee and Shin were both exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable with the transportation and local area. Overall a wonderful few nights stay to start my journey!

“Would come to Korea just to stay at seochon guesthouse again”

100% recommend everybody to book a stay here! Location - 10/10, located in the quaintest area with several restaurants, coffee shops, craft stores, unique bookstores, stationary stores. Also very close to both the bus stop and the subway station. Walking distance to the palace and the Bukchon village. Room & other amenities - room was so spacious, comfy and beautiful in the traditional Korean style, I had the best sleep on all nights here. The shower was so good, better than some of the hotels even! They also have a washer and dryer available. Hospitality - I cannot even put it into words how much I loved staying here! Solo travelling can get a bit lonely sometimes but the hosts were the warmest people I have ever met while travelling, I felt like I was staying with family. I didn’t just have a casual vacation-stay here, I had a life changing experience.

Mr Shin ans Mrs Lee were fantastic, super friendly, helpful and welcoming. The place was a traditional korean house which was really cool, loved it!

I felt warm and secure, the room was comfortable and the hosts were helpful and friendly. Lovely food made by Lee, new experience every breakfast. I really enjoyed the area, close to many attractions and many nice restaurant and shops. It was also nice meeting and chatting with other guests. It made my stay in Seoul much more interesting.
