“Absolutely lovely.”

The location of the property is in a lovely back alley neighborhood but super close to a lot of cool areas and cafes and 7/11. Additionally the property had everything we needed and more. And Lydia was super nice and went above and beyond! Best place I ever stayed in.

Great location, less than 5 minutes walking distance from pedestrian street with plenty of restaurants,10-15 minutes walking distance from the Gyeongbokgung Palace. Very warm welcome from Lydia. Comfortable beds and well equipped apartment.

Lidiya is a very welcoming host. She contacted us to explain how she arrived, asked if we had any special requests, and prepared a greeting. It was very touching. The place has everything you need for a comfortable stay, as well as plenty of toiletries and beautiful tableware. When we arrived, Lidiya made tea and fruit, which was a very nice touch. She explained how everything worked, gave us various maps, and even met us with umbrellas right at the taxi stand and lent them to us for the duration of our stay. Thank you so much! Very comfortable space, with all amenities on hand. I found it was a great location to be based, close to Gyeonbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, Sejong Food Culture Street among others. What really separates this property is the host Lydia. She couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful, and it’s immediately clear why this place is so highly rated. If I’m back in Seoul I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Lydia was a fantastic host. Made us feel welcome and spent half a day hiking with us! The traditional apartment was lovely and in a very convenient location. The bed was comfortable. Very happy with our choice! Thank you Lydia.

“Perfect and enjoyable”

Perfect location to all amenities. Short walk to local cuisines, street foods and cafes. Walking distances to palaces and museums and shops. The guest house is on one floor, perfect for my husband who has difficulties climbing stairs. The host Lydia is friendly, welcoming (with a plate of fresh fruits) and communicative. We have had WhatsApp conversations on transport and direction to the property before arrival. She met us at the bus stop and took us to the property. The property is compact, warm with underfloor heating. Love the heated toilet seat. There is a small well equipped kitchen. All toiletries and beauty products provided are made in Korea which is well known for.

“Memerible Korean style home stay”

We love everything about this place for our family of five stay of two nights. Very cozy and welcoming layout, feels like home. The location is close to lots of restaurants, especially the nearby food street which has plenty of options. Walking distance to the palace and metro stations, we really enjoyed the walking along the main street light shows on the New Year Eve. The host Lydia is very friendly and helpful, picked us on our arrival and showed us vey details about the house and gave useful suggestions for the area, thanks Lydia for the welcome fruits ( the strawberry and grape are so sweet). Highly recommend for the family stay, we would love to book again.

We loved our stay at Lydia’s Guesthouse. Lydia is so welcoming and a truly great host. The bed is comfortable; the shower is hot; the area is quiet; good food and public transport are close by. If it is free for your dates, book it! We would definitely recommend to family and friends.

“Feel like a home!”

It's a quiet area but near for essential places such as tubes, buses, restaurants and cafes. It's located in a very nice area to walk around, too. The owner is very informative and has great hospitality. We stayed at three bedrooms accommodation - it was spacious for 5 people, well equipped and clean.

Lydia's generosity, helpfulness and welcoming hospitality. Even though we arrived late at night, she met us to share tea, fruit and tourist information to assist with our short stay in Seoul. It's a great location, near the Palace and food streets without the noise.

Location is good as it is near the street full of restaurants. The owner instructed us on how to get from the airport efficiently. The films are available on Netflix on the owner's account.

Really comfortable place to stay. Host is a most generous person not only with what is supplied but also with her time. There are plenty of eating places close by, area is flat and good easy walking to National Palace etc. Public transport is also close by. We felt so happy to have found Lydia's!

“A cosy traditional house”

The host is very sweet, she has many facilities and even skincare products in the apartment. She recommended places for us and helped us very well if we had questions. We also had very nice conversations with her and her daughter. My mother and I felt very comfortable here. I’m going to miss it! The neighbourhood is also nice and cosy.

Super kind owner. You will have full explanation about anything about food or attraction around the area. There are kitchen, washing machine, and dryer. You have everything in here. The house is around 5minutes to restaurant area, and 15minutes to the palace by foot

Perfect location and very comfortable room. Lydia is an amazing host and even joined us on a morning trekking followed by lunch! Highly recommend it!
