“Beautiful BnB”

Absolutely brilliant! My friend and I adored staying here, and had we known how easy it was to access busier hubs of Seoul and quiet this area was, we would've stayed here the whole time we were in Seoul. Mr & Mrs Kim create a beautiful homely environment and being guests together every morning we home cooked breakfast. I couldn't recommend their place anymore if I tried 💞

Amazing home cooked breakfast every morning. You can tell the owner put a lot of thought into ensuring everyone was happy.

The location is far enough from the city center to be close to the mountain and very quiet and relaxing but still well connected by bus. Mrs Kim's breakfasts are a national treasure, believe me if I tell you that you won't need to have lunch. The guesthouse is very clean and the Kims are great hosts. If you have a heavy luggage just bear in mind the road to get to the guesthouse is quite steep.

I felt right at home with the Kims. The house is beautiful and in an amazing location with perfect mountain views. Young made incredible breakfast for the guests every morning. If you want to visit Seoul but prefer to have a more relaxing place to retreat to after a day in the city, this is 100% where you should go!

Great place once I got used to the fact that you’re staying with a family. Young and her husband are very kind, helpful and easygoing. Location is good and easily accessible via bus from Seoul station. Plenty of hikes you can do around this area plus walkable distance to the Palace. Young is an excellent cook. The breakfast was super good and different every day.

“Welcoming stay at the uphill guesthouse with a personal touch.”

It was my first time staying in a guesthouse, and it turned out to be such a memorable experience. Since it was cherry blossom season and during the BTS comeback concert period, finding accommodation was really difficult, so I was especially grateful to stay here. I truly appreciated the warm hospitality of the host, Mrs. Young. Her breakfasts were absolutely delicious 🤤, and thanks to her, I even had the chance to meet my BTS ARMY friend, Yoshiko-san! The guesthouse is located uphill, but the view is absolutely picturesque and well worth it. The nearest bus stop is about a 10–13 minute walk downhill, and from there you can easily get to places like Gyeongbokgung Palace and Myeongdong in just 6–7 stops. For airport transfers, you can take limousine bus 6011 (if I remember correctly) or 7022, which makes getting to and from Incheon International Airport quite convenient. Рақмет көп-көп!

“Family Atmosphere in Seoul”

The best hosts you can find in Seoul! The breakfast was delicious and I really loved the family atmosphere. The hostel is 15-20 minutes outside of the City Center but thats a big plus if you can escape the big city hustle. I‘ll be back for sure :-)

I loved it!! The house is so warm, welcoming and bright. Mr and Mrs Kim went above and beyond to prepare all that you need for a great stay. The best part was getting together in the morning to share a beautiful breakfast lovingly prepared by Mrs Kim.

This was my second stay at The Kims and just as fantastic as the first one 1,5 year ago - I made many precious memories during both of them. Young In is a wonderful host and takes care of every guest like a family member - including catering to everyone’s dietary requirements and preferences - and Sam can offer great hiking (and more) tips around Seoul. The neighborhood where the guesthouse is located, Buam-dong, is also among my favorites in the whole city. Group breakfast at the main table is a great opportunity to connect with other travelers all around the world. I’ll surely come back when I’m in Seoul the next time / hopefully very soon. “Must stay!”

I stayed for one week and had an incredible time. The Kims were so kind and welcoming, they treated me like family. They taught me a lot about Korea and Seoul, and provided recommendations of things to do. I did a cooking class and a guided hike with them, both were fantastic experiences. The breakfasts provided were amazing. The location is beautiful and the home is spacious and clean. I have travelled to many places and this is one of the best guesthouses ever! Staying with them was a highlight of my trip.

“The best accomodation in Seoul!!!!”

On my 3 months long trip tis was by far the best accommodation I had. The Kims are the most caring, friendly, kind and helpful hosts! Ms. Kim is an excellent cook and prepares breakfast for the guests every morning fresh. I was looking forward to breakfast every morning! The location of the guesthouse is stunning, up in the hills but just a quick bus ride from the city centre, you could even walk if you wanted. You can also Strat some really nike hikes for the guest house with sweeping views over the city. Mr Kim also offers personalized tours to the DMZ and a sunset spot. The house is very beautiful and my room was very comfy and the bed and pillows were great, I had a wonderful quiet sleep! Everything was super clean and the Kims do everything to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I felt like part of their family and it was amazing to meet other guests around the big round table over amazing Korean breakfast. I was sick for a couple of days and Mr Kim was so caring and lovely, I will forever be thankful for the amazing time I had there! If I will return to Seoul, there is only place I would stay which is the Kims Guesthouse! I cannot recommend the Kims Guesthouse enough!

“Loved every moment of my stay!”

It was an amazing experience. Every morning we had breakfast together with the hosts and other guests and it was very nice. Young In (one of the hosts) is an amazing cook so I could try so many new dishes I had never had before. I was very lucky and got invited to some activities and we spent the Lunar New Year’s dinner together and also when it was my birthday they celebrated with me! Definitely recommend it to everyone!!

Wonderful stay at The Kim's guest house. The room was spacious and clean and the Kims have a beautiful house. The breakfsst was amazing and the Kjns were very helpful accomodationg. It was lovely to meet other travallers too and share stories.

“One of the best”

After reading reviews for this guesthouse, I decided to book 4 nights and it turned out to be such a memorable time for me. Mr. and Mrs. Kim went above and beyond my expectations. My room was very clean and well made, prepared with a traveller's needs in mind. I could find everything I needed and more in the modern bedroom and bathroom. I stayed during Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) and they threw a big dinner and party with games. Mrs. Kim cooked so many authentic delicious Korean foods that everyone had seconds and there was still a lot to spare, it was an amazing hospitality that I've never had elsewhere. Every morning, Mrs. Kim cooked breakfast and all guests sat together and chatted about their past day and current plan for the day, which helped me get to know other guests and to shape my own itinerary around Seoul. The guesthouse is located minutes away by 1 bus (or 30 mins easy walking) from the Gyeongbokgung Palace, which is close to other attractions and only steps away from the buses and trains to go to other places in the city, so the location is perfect. There were restaurants and convenient stores near it, too. They were very generous with their knowledge around things to do. I received excellent recommendations for walking trails, night markets, and how to connect the buses. I felt really taken care of and their guesthouse really felt like home to me. Thank you for such a wonderful stay and I will definitely come back! And I will tell at least 100 of my friends to stay with them! (Inside joke, haha).
