“Beautiful stay in a hanok. Mimi was wonderful. Beautiful views.”
Beautiful location. Mimi was knowledgable, kind and helpful. Gorgeous home with private suite with several traditional rooms. Amazing and thoughtful breakfasts and wonderful hanbok experience. Mimi knew all the beautiful places to take lovely photos and the quality of hanbok were lovely. So nice having morning light and privacy before streets got busier. Lovely views of the mountains.

“Thank you, Mimi, for an amazing experience. Exceeded all my expectations in every way. I will return.”
The house is extraordinary. A perfect example of Hanok architecture. The host, Mimi, is a a truly inspiring, kind, engaging person. The location, while a bit far from the center of Seoul, is a gem - well connected to the metro/bus, serene, right adjacent to must-sea temples. Simply put, the best stay of my well-travelled life. I will return.

“A beautiful hanok experience”
This accommodation is surrounded by beautiful scenery and cafes with beautiful scenery. It’s much recommended for tourist who is looking for quiet and peaceful stay. There is warmer installed under the wooden flooring so it is very comfortable to sleep on during winter. Our stay became more interesting in the morning when the host enthusiastically prepared us a tableful of breakfast. She prepared costumes for the children and initiated to take photos for us within the house and at the beautiful yard.

“Great atmosphere, fantastic host.”
Our host Mimi was fantastic. She spent time explaining us about the culture. She was super friendly and helpful. Location was a bit away from the city, making it a relaxing place to stay, with walks to several temples.

“Very interesting way to experience the old Korean lifestyle.”
Property is about 20 mins away by bus from the nearest metro station, followed by ~5 mins walk in. It’s an old style Korean house so the architecture is very interesting. The lady owner is very nice and gave us some hanboks to wear and even took pics for us. She also taught my daughters to play her Korean string instrument very briefly.

“A great place to wind down.”
The location is just less than an hour from city via bus. Liked it very much as it's not crowded thus it's quiet. The hostess was very warm and friendly. She recommended to us some places we should visit and local food eateries. She even prepared breakfast for us. She also offered us to use her hanbok for the full experience but we've already made rental booking at the tourist office nearby. However, we went back to her place and took lots of beautiful pictures at her place.

“Beautiful Stay!!”
Mimi was such a wonderful host! She made delicious breakfast for us, even at short notice when we decided to go hiking early the next morning. Full amenities were provided including all the toiletries you would need, incl. for kids. She also lent us her hanboks so we could take pretty pictures with the beautiful mountains just outside! It was a wonderful experience overall, highly recommend! Just a note, our living area is on the 2nd floor so you'll need to carry your luggage up.

“Experience authentic charm, serene comfort, and warm hospitality in a traditional Korean hanok stay.”
The second you get to the village itself, it feels like you are brought back to a different time with all the traditional-looking houses in the village, despite there being asphalt roads and a CVS close by(which is a good thing of course)! Seeing the mountains in the background is such a captivating image that will stick with me for a long time, this captivating feeling is just multiplied a lot when you enter the accommodation. We were welcomed by the hostess when we arrived, and she is a very kind and welcoming person, even if you have never stayed at such an accommodation before, you will feel at home at once. It is quite spacious if you are a couple travelling, but I would say it's very comfortable. All the amenities are in good quality and very practical, and overall the place is very quiet and calming place. After being shown around by the hostess and stepping out, we were recommended some places to go and things to see, like the 진관사(Jingwansa Temple), and it was so lovely! There is also lots of trails leading to hiking the mountains, though we did not do so. In the mornings we were greeted with the hostess making us a delicious breakfast featuring all delicious things as fruits, fresh sandwiches, salads and homemade traditional Korean soups, these were all delicious (especially the peanut soup 😉). Going back to speaking of being brought back to a different time, some might still sleep on the floor like this, but as a foreigner it felt very authentic sleeping on the floor like this. It might be a bit hard for some people's backs, but there are numerous of futons and different types if you prefer something softer! You can also try hanbok and a traditional instrument! There were numerous images and prizes on display in the library/living room which I assume is dedicated to the accommodation, and I can do nothing but vouch for it and agree with it. Overall, just a great stay and a very great time, can only recommend it!

An amazing experience in traditional hanok. The host lady was very nice, thanks to her we have a lot of photos from our stay, we even tried playing the traditional Korean musical instrument gayageum. The location is an ideal starting point for hiking in Bukhasan National Park, for which you get a perfect breakfast as a base. We even got an energy drink from our host lady for the hike!
