“Amazing stay”
This property was amazing, calm. The room was super spacious. My husband and I loved our stay. Kristel is an amazing host, she gave us place suggestion to visit, we also had very nice discussion. If we go back to that area for sure we will come back!

“A truly exceptional place with an equally exceptional owner ...”
A beautiful, minimalistically restored old chateau in a spacious setting with an unhindered view over the tranquil countryside; most pleasingly restored rooms (what space!) furnished in simple lines and sparse white and brown tones; a lovingly presented breakfast table; and in Kristel a host one couldn´t wish more of in terms of warmth and hospitality. Heartiest thanks from Hellfried, Ewa, Sabine and Andreas!

“One of the best hotels I've visited, beautiful and charming, great value for money :)”
We loved our time at Chateau de Cours. Kristel is the best most accommodating host! She makes all her guests feel right at home, and the Chateau itself has everything you need to feel comfortable (Plus, the rooms are massive!). The views from the Chateau are incredible, and Kristel prepares a lovely breakfast everyday for guest. No complaints at all, and will definitely be back for another visit! A huge plus also: Kristel speaks English fluently which was a big help for me (As not fluent french)

“Simply perfect”
We really loved our stay at Chateau de Cours with Kristel. She is a great host: very friendly, with a good sense of humour, always trying to make you comfortable. Her breakfast and diners are varied (lots of choice for breakfast and every day something new) and very tasty. She also helped us to store the large amounts of cheese that we bought. We had the large room which is fantastic. The bed is VERY comfortable, there is enough space to hang and stack clothes. Also in the bathroom there is enough room to store things. Nice, roomy shower with lots of hot water and good water pressure. The decoration of the room (and the whole house) is simply beautiful. There is a sense of beauty, calm and spaciousness in the house. We also enjoyed the garden and sitting outside. In the surrounding there are lots of things to do, so we really enjoyed our 6-night stay.

“The host was very welcoming and is also an excellent cook, don’t miss the breakfast served in the garden, pure happiness”
Surrounding by beautiful nature, this castle has been restored with a lot of taste combining comfort and authenticity. The large garden is overlooking the entire valley, proposing a fantastic view of the Cantal

“We felt really special staying at Chateau de Cours - loved it.”
We stopped at Chateau de Cours on our way across France and we both wish we stayed longer. It is definitely an incredible place to stay at and our host Kristel was exceptional. It’s like a movie set - perfect. This stunning old farmhouse is set in the rolling hills among several cattle farms - all are incredibly well run and the neighbouring farmers were very friendly. The countryside is rural and rugged - beautiful! Currently, Kristel only rents out two rooms and they are huge and super clean. The whole house is beautiful and large and clean. The central staircase is made of stunning slabs of stone layered 4 stories high. We saw all the rooms and everything has been painted, updated, designed minimalist, and modernized. Our room was really three huge rooms - a sitting room with table couch and fireplace, a modern bedroom with a new (extremely comfortable) king bed, brand new bathroom very tastefully decorated. The windows are all brand new - no no drafts. We couldn’t even hear a noise outside if the windows were closed as the walls are 3 feet thick stone. You can eat inside or out, it was a bit wet when we were there so we ate in the kitchen which has a 10-foot farm table and 7 foot open fireplace as focal points. We went for a walk on the local farm roads in the morning and it we really felt like we were in France. When we came across another farm or farmer - everyone was smiling and just let us walk on by. We also sat outside to relax in the evening - the stars were incredible. Kristel has several seating areas set up outside so there’s privacy if other guests are there. There were no other guests present when we were there but I can imagine sitting around the kitchen eating at the huge table would be quite special. Finally, Kristel is an exceptional host. She managed every detail perfectly. We heard that meals were available so she made us a wonderful meal with a Moroccan twist - very nice. We both highly recommend Chateau de Cours.

“very recommendable for anyone who likes to discover the Cantal region”
Friendly welcome and guidance by the owner. Wonderful accommodations, more like salle d'hautes rather then the average B&B or chambres d'hautes. Wonderful breakfast and always possible to have a good lunch and dinner if requested.
