“We would definitely recommend TAOYA Akiu, and if we came back we would stay two nights to make the most of the facilitie”
Our room was huge and very comfortable. The all inclusive package made the stay excellent value. The choices for food and drinks were so varied and delicious. The free to use massage chairs were the ones where you lie down and all parts of your body are massaged. There was a good selection of baths to use and also a sauna. They were in a very pretty setting with an outlook onto a waterfall.

Loved the experience of a traditional Japanese hotel with hot springs and all inclusive food/drink. Futon beds, mat flooring, screen doors, etc in a massive room all added to the experience. Given kimonos and slippers which could be worn throughout the hotel. Great onsen baths experience. Buffet dinner & breakfast with lots of choice.

“A very nice place to enjoy”
The staff is very patient to explain upon our check in even though there is a language barrier. A lot of activities to spent our time. The swtich of onsen on different day is a good practice for us to experience a different onsen.

“All inclusive すごい”
The all-inclusive system was excellent. My foreign friend was thrilled by the all-you-can-drink sake. I was also surprised that, despite the place being nearly full throughout our stay, he was the only foreigner there. Is it because it's the Tohoku region? There really were very few foreign tourists. Free bus from Sendai station was great too.

“A wonderful stay with excellent onsen and food”
The spacious, clean room. The relaxation areas such as the lounge and the library. We liked the onsen, both the indoor and outdoor ones. The buffet dinner was excellent. It had many options and delicacies, both in western and Japanese. The dining area was spacious, serving staff were excellent. The free drinks and snacks in the lounge and the library for retreat were excellent bonus.

“Beautiful little get away”
The onsen were clean and nice, the rooms spacious and comfortable. Really enjoyed the all inclusive aspect with beer on tap & ice cream after the onsen. We booked a shuttle service from Sendai station via the booking.com chat which worked perfectly. Wonderful destination for a little break.

TAOYA Akiu is a excellent Japanese onsen hotel near Sendai. The room is super clean and the size of the room is perfect for small family to live in. The food is delicious especially the Japanese cuisine. The hotel offers the free drinks to all guests all day.

We loved everything about our stay. The staff, the facilities, the room, the food, the baths, enjoying yukata life. We have been travelling around Japan for weeks and this place was the first place to feel like a relaxing holiday. We were a little concerned given the cost that we wouldn't find it worth it but we loved it and only wish we could have stayed longer. A very memorable time

We booked a half board accommodation, include buffet breakfast and dinner, afternoon light snack with free flow of drinks. Huge room with good view. Onsen is spectacular. hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Free hotel shuttle bus to Sendai station, need to book in advance.

“Perfect and relaxing”
Everything was perfect. From the onsens to the food and the facilities, there wasn't one thing we would change or complain about. Definitely was the highlight of our trip.
