“Beautiful Hotel and service in a great location - Sad the area has been abandoned.”
The location of this hotel was once perfect, right on the lake. The breakfast was superb and even managed to get my wife into an onsen as you could book private sessions.

“Serene Lakeside Stay with Stunning Views”
We had a lovely stay, with spectacular views of Lake Tazawa from our room and even from the private onsen. The lake is right at the doorstep, perfect for relaxing sunset strolls. We really enjoyed the traditional Japanese breakfast and dinner, and the tranquil surroundings made it easy to unwind.

I had an amazing stay, really enjoyed the tatami room, the onsen and the food. Dinner and breakfast was delicious. Great views of Lake Tazawa from the room, easy access to public transportation around the lake.

“Very nice hotel and amazing dinner/breakfast!”
Very cleaned, view of the lake from the room, the dinner is very detailled and good food quality, definitely 10/10, all japanese style, same for the breakfast. Private onsen available with a 30 min reservation slot which I found vedy useful so you can book your spot in advance for the day.

The outdoor bath on the top was a nice touch, private and solace. The lake was right there, would be bustling in summer! Staff very friendly.

“Stunning Ryokan over Lake Tazawa”
Gorgeous views over Lake Tazawa. The private onsen is stunning, and the room was immaculate with very comfortable beds. Dinner and breakfast was delicious, with traditional Akita dishes and seasonal ingredients. Even with one day of bad weather the Ryokan was a great place to stay at and relax in.
