The hotel is just next to the train station, and really like the dining area. The staff are polite and helpful. The rooms and common areas are clean and well maintained.

No interactions with staff whatsoever. Full self-service from dropping luggage to check in and out. Right outside the station but very, very quiet. A window that opened!

The location is right by the station, literally just outside. This makes it very convenient for luggage and check-in/out. The automated check-in was easy and the rooms were nice and comfortable. For the price, it was great! Also free coin-lockers to use for the day after checked out.

I've never been to a hotel that was this close to the station exit.

“Great practical option for staying in Kakunodate, and a good value for the money”

It's practical and minimal and adequate for a short stay. Don't expect luxury, but it is clean and organised and right next to the train station. Kakunodate is an amazing little town worth visiting and there aren't many options for places to stay, but IMO you don't need any other option. It's a short walk from the hotel to the samurai houses and there is a convenience store in the train station next to the hotel. The no staff at reception thing takes a minute to get used to, but you realise soon you don't really need it and the auto checkin and checkout works just fine. I would stay here again if I'm in Kakunodate.

Nice modern hotel, all very clean and fresh. Almost completely "contactless", both good and could have been a problem.Good luggage storage area and self service kitchen/diner/lounge. Easy parking.

The place delivers what it promises. It is very near the station, the room was ok for 3 people, the extra bed was not very comfortable, the others were good. The breakfast was really good, and the view from the restaurant was pleasant. The staff was very kind and helpful. The Hotel is a 15 min walk from the centre. Kakunodate is worth a stay. There is a public bath next to a nice isakaya. There are convenience stores.

location is great. Expect a Japanese business hotel style room and amenities in a traditional Japanese building and setting

It's just next to the station, literally 20 meters. And don't worry about train noise, our window was facing the tracks and we didn't even know about trains. Hotel has everything you need for a great time in Kakunodate.

Hotel was warm, comfortable, excellent and scrumptious breakfast. Staff were kind, hospitable and helpful! Hotel was a few steps away from the train station and convenience store.

“Comfortable for a Short Stay”

This place was so easy to find - We came out of the JR station, looked left & it was right in front of us! Despite being beside the railway tracks, we never heard any trains. We slept well here. Breakfast was a small buffet, but everything we needed was there. On the first night, we ate in the hotel restaurant. The Japanese style burger was delicious.
