“Quintessential French Town”

We loved the style of the apartment. It was attractive, cosy, quiet, well equipped and very close to the centre of town. Semur en Auxois is one of our favourite French towns. It has all the characteristics of what we love about France. Our host and hostess were very welcoming and were readily available if needed. Parking was convenient at the time of year we visited, but I could imagine it would be very competitive in peak season because Semur is so popular.

Nicely decorated, spacious and clean apartment, comfortable bed, well equipped bathroom and kitchen with open TV corner. Solid wifi. Availability of free car park places nearby. The medieval town of Semur-en-Anxois is quite pictoresque and quiet but the dining offer was somewhat limited (recommended restaurants are closed on Mon/Tue). Boulangeries in the reach for buying something for the breakfast. Communicative and nice host (via IM, we never met in person, keys handover via box).

This apartment was truly impressive! The kitchen was the highlight—easily the best kitchen I’ve come across in 20 years of traveling with Booking.com. It had everything you need, a beautiful dining table, and made meal preparation an absolute pleasure. The internet connection was excellent, and the smart TV added to the comfort. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep.

Lovely little apartment perfect for our family of four. Centrally located in the village (which Diane have much going on, but is scenic). Information was clear and easy to follow. Very welcoming and clean. Reasonably equipped.

Beautifully decorated and laid out, modern but loads of character, spotless. Location was perfect for walking to the town, restaurants, bakery. Easy to park close by.

I think Semur-en-Auxois has just become my favourite place in France! A beautiful town full of warm and friendly people. The location of the property is superb - a very easy walk to the beautiful church and restaurants. Easy parking (though I got a bit blocked in, a friendly passer-by helped me out!). Great restaurants nearby and a lovely market on Sunday morning. The apartment is beautifully decorated, comfortable and well-equipped. The host is incredibly attentive and helpful - she sent us a message to let us know the Tour de France might interfere with our travel plans, and the bathroom is stocked with spare toothpaste for those of us who are a bit forgetful. We definitely plan to return.

What a wonderful place to stay. We stayed just one night, should have stayed longer! Excellent apartment, great size, nice and spacious. Joanna was very helpful and very friendly. It comfortably fit our family of 4.
