“Don’t stay here”

Around 2:00 PM, we arrived at the hotel. As usual, we indicated that we wanted to check in. We had reserved a queen-size bed, and this booking had been confirmed. During check-in, we noticed that the staff seemed somewhat shocked. The check-in process took a while. Eventually, we were assigned a room and had already placed our belongings in it. After a few moments, a staff member came in and informed us that we had been given a family room, asking if we could cancel our booking through Booking.com and make a new reservation for the family room at an additional cost. We, of course, did not agree to this. It was stated that this was indeed a mistake on the hotel’s part and that we could stay in the family room at no extra charge. Our stay was very uncomfortable; there was an awkward atmosphere. The staff looked at us each time but did not put us at ease. The other guests were mainly Chinese, but they were also not very talkative. We were informed that breakfast was included. However, when we wanted to enjoy breakfast at 8:00 AM, the staff member said breakfast was already over. Moments later, two plates with a sandwich suddenly appeared. It was a very meager breakfast consisting of a sandwich with egg salad and coffee. The amount we paid did not match the quality we received. If the atmosphere in the hotel had been pleasant, we would have certainly booked several more nights, but because we felt so uncomfortable during our first night, we decided to stay elsewhere. I do not recommend staying here.

Large room, light and airy. Lovely helpful and friendly staff. Attractive and cool outside shared spaces. Cold drinking water on tap.
