The location was stunning in the Umbrian hills. The castle and accommodation have been renovated in a really tasteful way with excellent amenities. The food (both dinner and breakfast) were of a very high quality and good value. The views from the terrace bar were breathtaking. The suite we stayed in was very tastefully decorated and 'cosy' in feel (not a modern business hotel!) with good amenities and very quiet.

The breakfast was excellent. Extremely proficient and lovely waiters as was the one dinner we had The communal spaces with video showing the development, art galleries, church and general interest in the redevelopment.

It was amazing. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, from the reception to the room service. The room was spacious and comfortable. There’s no air conditioning, but we were lucky with the weather, so I can’t say how it would be in very hot or cold conditions. The location in an ancient village is truly unique, with lovely exhibitions in the hotel, and we even enjoyed a beautiful piano concert they hosted in the church at the estate. Note that there are quite a lot of stairs, so it may not be ideal for guests with mobility issues.

Genuinely superb setting. Imaginative layout and impressive restoration. Furnished with style and comfort. Friendly and efficient staff. Super pool. The art exhibitions and a wonderful music concert in the chapel were huge bonuses. I will now only stay in hotels with their own original frescoes!

“À fairy tale weekend”

This tiny borgo has been meticulously restored into an exquisite village/hotel. The accommodation is spread out around the hamlet with tiny winding cobblestoned streets spilling out into open countryside views. Our apartment was huge, with a large sitting room leading into a charming large bedroom with wide open views from the windows. Furnishings are of a very high standard and nothing is lacking. One can easily appreciate the thought which went behind each part of the restoration. The pool area is also lovely, with private areas where to sunbathe. Breakfast on the upstairs terrace bar is abundant and very tasty, with lovely coffee and fresh tasty cakes and saltier items if wanted. It was a truly amazing weekend, topped off with an unexpected vocal concert by part of the Vatican choir. If I could give it 20 stars I would

Everything was perfect, the best hotel ever!! (and I traveled 45 years ago!) Also the restaurant was amazing and more than exceptional! Best ever tasting meal! Very special historical site with wonderful restaurateur The huge and comfortable apartment, 90m2 for two of us! The amazing clean and large bathroom and daily cleaning service! Tasteful breakfast includes at the price! The privacy of the pool site, great relaxation at the massage!! Lovely and professional attention from all of the staff!

Our stay at Castello Di Postignano Relais was absolutely perfect! The location is stunning, the staff were incredibly kind, and the rooms are huge. I asked them to prepare a cake for my partner’s birthday, and it was absolutely delicious!

Very beautiful Castello with great restaurant(and great chef). Staff was friendly and attentive. We stayed in 'Sperlonga' room with big terrace overlooking stunning view of Umbria mountains, plenty of spaces to relax inside the clean room and around. Fantastic view from swimming pool with lots of private areas (sunbeds and umbrellas in the labyrinth!). We also spent time listening to classical trio concert in the church and enjoying art galleries...What a hidden paradise, highly recommended.
