Spacious apartment. Central location, golden circle is close by. Everything was clean and all needed supplies for kitchen, bathroom and bed were present. Staff was friendly whilst digitally chatting. Best apartment of our holiday.

“A perfect stopover location”

What a great find. Given the heavy weather conditions, the location was perfect as it is near all the gritted roads. Our room had a fully equipped kitchenette, including oil and seasonings, tea and filter coffee! The room was roomy and warm. During our stay the owners kindly cleared all the snow which was very considerate.

Great location, helpful staff, very clean and had everything we needed. We even just wandered across the road yo the church for a fantastic Northern Lights display.

Overall, the apartment was very nice and we had a pleasant stay. The only issue was that the bedding on one of the beds didn’t seem very clean or may have been worn, as there was quite a bit of hair and some debris on it. Apart from this issue, everything else was good.

We can truly recommend Hotel Thoristun, both for single nights and as a base for trips in the surrounding area. The room was clean and nice, and had exactly the equipment we needed to stay there for several days.

We had a wonderful time in these apartments and are grateful to the hosts for their hospitality. December 2025 was very warm, but even taking that into account, it was very warm - the apartment has two huge radiators that will keep you from freezing. The kitchen had a wide variety of cooking utensils and even coffee, tea, and spices. There is a large store nearby where you can buy groceries and save money on restaurants. A very soft and cozy bed! The apartments are located in the city center, and the city itself is an hour's drive from the capital, the Golden Ring, and the south of the country.

Great location with excellent facilities and space. The apartment is very clean with all necessary equipment. Highly recommended.

Great location for exploring Southern Iceland. Clean and comfortable apartment with plenty of space. Well equipped for family stay and with great local amenities.

Cosy and spacious apartment. The location is perfect — right in the middle of Selfoss, with convenient parking just in front. Apartment has a beautiful view of the Selfosskirkja church, making mornings especially lovely. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort and charm in a central spot!

Big spacious rooms, warm and cosy and good communication from the host when needed. Location is fantastic and close to all shops within the area. Nice beds, comfortable. Good hot water. Dining table provided in deluxe studio apartment. I would definitely stay here again.
