The staff are helpful, tasty breakfast, good facilities (especially washing machine, dryer, gloves dryer), and free shuttle from hotel to station. The location is great for guests who love to ski because the hotel is just beside the ski lift to go to Ishiuchi ski resort. It is also near the biggest onsen in the area.

Location is literally as it says - ski in and out. Free shuttle to and from echigo-yuzawa station at convenient times. Breakfast included with a semi decent spread. Room has decent wardrobe/cupboard space.

The location is really amazing! It’s located right near the Hatsukaishi entrance of the Ishiuchi ski resort. You can easily get back to the hotel (within 1 minute walking) if you want to take a break during skiing! They also have self service drink/snacks corners and dinner provide (need to pay but price is reasonable). The breakfast is nice too!

“Comfortable cosy stay”

I like that it’s clean and sufficient for a solo trip. Bathroom is clean and private as well. The breakfast is really good though. Overall it’s cosy and will come back again

It was basic amenities/ food but super close to ski resorts and easy to get around with the shuttle bus. The snow was amazing. The staff were really helpful and friendly, especially Sandy she was awesome thank you so much for making our stay so good!!!

A very cosy and comfortable hotel with fresh, clean sheets and a strong heater that kept the room warm. The staff were friendly, polite, and spoke English extremely well. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, and the Yungparunas onsen hot springs were absolutely wonderful.

Extremely spacious room for Japan. As everywhere else, spotless. We were high up so the views were amazing. The breakfast buffet was outstanding - the best one we had in Japan.

The most disappointing part of this stay was the lack of service. There was no room cleaning, no staff asking if cleaning was needed, and no daily amenities provided. Even if you stay multiple nights, only two bottles of water are given on the first day, without prior notice. The facilities are outdated—no electric kettle, and the hairdryer looks like it’s from the 1990s. The hotel is located deep in the mountains, with no shops or restaurants nearby. You must call a taxi every time to go anywhere, which costs about ¥8,000 per day. What shocked me the most was the steep staircase at the entrance. Carrying large suitcases was extremely difficult, and no staff offered to help, even when several were present at the front desk. I understand it was the off-season and staffing might be limited, but the overall experience was poor—no good view, no hospitality, and no convenience. Unless you're visiting during the snow season and absolutely need this location, I strongly recommend choosing another hotel.
