Overview

The 10-story Arctic Club Hotel, a historical landmark built in 1916, has been beautifully restored to provide exceptional hospitality, featuring 120 well-appointed rooms for the refined traveler in the heart of downtown Seattle. The Arctic Club Hotel provides unique experiences including the eclectic Polar Bar. The interior and exterior design reflects the era of the Klondike Gold Rush. Live like an icon and experience the adventure of history at the Arctic Club Hotel. Anchored near Seattle’s historic district on the corner of 3rd Avenue and Cherry Street, the modern Arctic Club Hotel launches explorers into the heart of the city. Walk along the waterfront, venture up the Space Needle, and explore Pike Place Market. Watch the Seahawks or Mariners play down at Lumen Field and T-Mobile Park. Step into the Polar Bar and take a step back in time to an era where quality and style are one. Lounge in luxurious leather seating surrounded by velvet draperies and choose from a full bar of local wine, craft beer, signature cocktails, or soft drinks. Breakfast will also be served in the Polar Bar. Stay close to the action with the Columbia Center across the street, Pike Place Market four blocks away and Pioneer Square, T-Mobile Park, and Lumen Field within a 10-minute walk. With the Link light rail stop right in front of the hotel continuing the adventure downtown and beyond is as simple as hopping on.

Stay here!

Everything was great. Hotel lobby and room were clean. The staff were amazing. Every interaction we had with the front desk, valet and kitchen staff was pleasant. They were friendly, attentive and always asked if we needed anything. The free breakfast was great. We were impressed and will be staying here again. Can't wait to spend more time at the lobby bar next time!

Historic place, but I wouldn’t stay there again.

We stayed for 3 nights. The location is not bad, but it’s not exactly the best part of the city. The building has its own history, and the bar/restaurant is super nice, but I think the carpets are from the 1950s… come on, at least put some new ones, they’re filthy and they give an awful vibe to the hotel. Same with the rooms, they could use a renovation. Breakfast is ok, not great but not bad. Next time I’ll go for a Sheraton or something along those lines. At least you know what you’ll get. The staff was very friendly.

Striving to be antique

A few staff, esp. in the rather huge bar which sort of dominates the whole layout of the hotel, were extremely kind and helpful. Above all the French-speaker (=canadienne). Merci.

Ideal central location in an atypically characterful period building, wonderfully restored and comfortable.

Unique. Characterful. Family owned. Great location. Not a chain!

we left the Arctic Club with mixed impressions. On the positive side we experienced very friendly staff, had a nicely decorated and well-equipped room and were in a good location within walking distance of most major sites. The fact that the surrounding streets are full of homeless people is not to blame on the hotel. We also liked the hotel bar which serves some nice food too. It is the only place in the hotel where you can get some food as the hotel's Juno restaurant is not operating any more.  Breakfast is now served in what used to be the restaurant but the location feels exactly like what it is: an abandoned restaurant.
