Overview
This 4-star boutique hotel is located in the Engadine town of Scuol, just 650 metres from the cable car. It features a modern spa area with panoramic mountain views. Some of Engadiner Boutique-Hotel GuardaVal's rooms feature a balcony overlooking the mountains. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Private parking is available at Engadiner Boutique-Hotel GuardaVal at a surcharge. Scuol Train Station is 950 metres away.

“Outstanding!”
Our stay at Guarda Val was absolutely wonderful. The staff was so incredibly kind and welcoming from the very beginning. Raffaele was the best waiter — so attentive, funny, and genuinely warm. The receptionist, I believe his name was Valentin, welcomed us like family and made us feel immediately at home. Everyone we met was friendly, professional, and authentic. The bartender was a true expert and made some of the best cocktails we’ve had! The reception team was also amazing — they offered to help with dinner reservations, welcomed us with drinks upon check-in, and were incredibly flexible with check-out. The thermal baths were very easy to access and available at all times, which made the whole experience even more relaxing. They also accommodated dietary preferences with off-menu options, which we really appreciated. Overall, the level of kindness, hospitality, and care was exceptional. I honestly felt great the entire stay and would happily come back again.

I decided to stay at Engadiner Boutique-Hotel GuardaVal because I knew this place from the past and I really like it. The Hotel is located very well and the building is connected with the Spa via "tunnel". The staff is always extremely helpful.

We loved everything, the location, the friendliness of the staff, the food, the comfort, the accessability, the extras like free access to the spa, sauna, pool, public transport in a large area plus free access to the cable cars. amongst other benefits. Just great.

“A mixed bag of experiences and not all wonderful....”
The review is not so much about this hotel but about the Belvedere as there were not enough guests so I was relocated. A pity as there were reasons why I choose the other hotel. What I liked nevertheless was the bar area and the balcony I could sit on in the afternoon feeling the warm sun on my face in November. Also the offer to use the nearby Spa facility was welcomed.

“Beautiful boutique hotel, great surroundings highly recommended”
Liked everything about it. Great central location, fantastic views over the old town from the lovely sun terrace. Food was exquisite, staff helpful and friendly. Fantastic breakfast - nothing beats Swiss bread! with plenty of choices. Great surroundings beautifully done. Highly recommend.
