Newly renovated in July 2014, the Hotel am Hauptbahnhof provides modern rooms set within the historic building. Each is complete with a flat-screen TV, refrigerator and a safe. All guests receive a complimentary cup of tea or coffee and a piece of cake upon arrive. Free coffee and juice is available for guests in the hotel lobby. Additionally, regional specialities, Bulgarian cuisine and pizza and pasta dishes are all served in the Hotel am Hauptbahnhof’s air-conditioned restaurant. The Old Town district of Schwerin is a 5-minute walk from the Hotel am Hauptbahnhof. The famous Weiße Flotte sightseeing boats and historic Schwerin Castle are a 15-minute walk away.

“Good.”
Perfect location, as in opposite the main station, also near to the city centre on foot. Quiet and clean. Friendly staff. I like the more classical "two armchairs, carpet, red curtain ambience", which has more character than the all-grey and white chain hotel rooms.
