“Enjoyable stay in a rural setting near the castles”

This older hotel has a lot of character and a modern interior. It was a pleasant surprise, with its large, comfortable room and excellent restaurant. Close to the Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein Castles, we also enjoyed walking on the path at Lake Forggensee reservoir just down the road. We had a very nice stay here and an exceptional meal in their restaurant.

We really appreciated the ease of check in. The room was super roomy for my family (2 adults and a 4yr). It snowed during our visit and it was nice to look out the windows and see the mountains and snow falling. The stay was Magical.

The room was clean and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. While not luxurious, it was definitely cozy and suited the price range.

Breakfast without buffet table. Meed to choose each item from an absurd list including quantity of slices of each thong. I never saw such list / system anywhere else in the Universe. Room without air conditioning, without a table and without a frigobar. 3 days without cleaning service. Extremelly expansive for the offered "benefit".

I found it inaprropriate the way breakfast was served: you need to check on a list what you would like to order without knowing the size of the portions you will being served. Hence, it made very difficult to make sure one is ordering far too much, or you need to ask for more. I would have expected to have an usual swedish buffet, where you can choose what you would like to have and how much. All in one, breakfast was qualitatively good, but not I've expected, especially by price/portion size ratio. The rooms are quiet (unless a neighbouring room occupant turn the TV set too loud) since the hotel is in a village-like location.

The hotel is extremely well located close by the lake and at a cycling distance from Neuschwanstein castle. The personnel is very nice, we almost felt like home. Breakfast was delicious. The place is very calm and and absolutely beautiful. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we plan to come back.

Very nice Breakfast Room. Nice Balcony. Nice traditional house. Wonderful quite place in this little village. The view from the garden to the Neuschwanstein Castle.

The restaurant is not open in the week and this is not stated on booking.com. Its a shame because the food on Sunday was excellent. Booking.com should state if the resturant is open or not.

Location is great. By the lake and a short drive from town. Plenty of parking there. Nice restaurants. Hotel was mostly quiet and the staff were friendly and helpful. Very convenient for the two famous castles in the area. You can see them once you go outside. Overall a very positive experience.
