Very friendly staff, the hotel is well located to reach all major tourist attractions.

“Unforgettable!”

The property was located at a very convenient location directly on the Schwangau Main Road. There were enough Parking Spaces in front of and by the side of the building. Everyone in the staff was very polite, warm and welcoming. You feel like a part of the host family. The Bavarian Spirit could be felt in the air within and around the Hotel. The Restaurant of the Hotel serves delicious Bavarian delicacies and we loved the Semmelknödel and the Kaiserschmarrn. The rooms were clean and the Room Service very efficient. The breakfast was also good and we liked particularly the Mehrkornbrot and the Cheeses served therein. The Kristall Therme is also within walking distance from there amd in the evenings one can simply go out for a walk and get lost in the endless green pastures around the property, with cows and horses happily munching grass. The Neuschwanstein Castle and the Tegelbergbahn could be seen even from the road-side balcony of the rooms. All in all a great and unforgettable experience.

large, comfortable room with en suite bathroom and balcony with view of Neuschwanstein Castle. Friendly staff, good breakfast, good beer. Easy access by bus or on foot to castles, walks and Tegelberg cable car. Schwangau tourist office produces a leaflet on winter walks, which was useful. There is also a Schwangau guest card, which can be sent by email by the hotel and downloaded onto smartphone, and gives free bus travel and reductions on local attractions. The castles are strict on entry times - no scope to vary when all tours are booked - and would recommend they are booked in advance; weekends are particularly busy, even in winter.

Great location for lake visit, for castles visit, for neighbor villages visit. Great beergarden nearby. Comfortable room and friendly and pleasant staff. Good location a lot of things are accessible on foot and even without a bike.

Room a decent size with comfortable sofa, double-bed firm-ish, which we like, with separate duvets (is that a German thing as well as a Scandinavian one?). Decor and ambience is practical comfortable rather than stylish and chic, typically German I guess. Parking easy. We enjoyed our meal at the restaurant in the building, although it is a separate business. They gave you two electronic entry key cards as standard (you usually have to ask for the second), that same key card got you into the building late at night too.

“A schwangau gem!”

A building with a history dating to the 16th century but with modern facilities and a terrific view of the castle and surrounding town. Very central with close proximity to the bus stop and restaurants. My room was cozy and very comfortable. The bathroom was neat and clean. The breakfast was delicious. Barbara was very helpful with settling me in and guiding me with the transportation logistics etc. God bless you! A place definitely worth staying at to explore the castle and its surrounds.

Had large room with balcony as well as mountain and distant castle views. On request, Staff offered to provide fridge for medication storage. Small supermarket 5mins walk away.
